Welcome to Port Robert the latest offering from Clyde MRC which will debut at ModelRail Scotland at the SEC in February. It is inspired, at least in part, by Port William in Dumfries and Galloway. It is the brainchild of our treasurer coincidently called Robert. The layout has had a longer and more difficult gestation than we had hoped! The design and baseboard frames were in place at the start of 2020. Things slowed down somewhat thereafter for reasons we all know. Things have been further complicated by accommodation problems which at time of writing are not resolved. The attached photographs give a flavour of the layout which consists of a small terminus station and rail linked fuel depot all in a horizontal space of 3x0.75 metres. we have managed a scale 75 feet height difference though! (Apologies for mixing metric and imperial, no one would ever do that would they?). more to follow ps that’s the aforementioned Bob in the third shot.

Got an email yesterday afternoon alerting me to the fact that 37/4 sound chips were back in stock. Ordered ASAP. DHL delivered before noon today. Luckily package fitted through letterbox as they were two hours earlier than promised and I was out. That is what you call Accurascale service! Many Thanks David -

With the usual disclaimer about grannies and eggs! Press the blue dot/star on the left of the thread title. I stumbled on this by accident! David -
