  1. Good morning,

I am currently writing a book on behalf of Middleton Press on the lines around Morecambe and Heysham. During my search of the internet, I came across a photo published on the RMWeb credited to Peter Cooper (see attached). I would love to use that photo but obviously can't unless I get permission.

Does anyone know of or how to contact Peter Cooper? I guess while I'm here, does anyone have any photos of Heysham Moss sidings/Trimpell Refinery Rail Complex etc or anything else perhaps out of the ordinary covering the Midland and LNWR lines to those locations.

    Thanks and regards660E6E1D-8E97-48A9-BF00-334A97ED5D52.jpeg.add3c8809d4864b198eca346d552e2ba.jpeg

      Morning

Unfortunately I have no contact details for Peter Cooper. However, I've att. links to Two public facebook groups I'm in that often show good pictures. Just click on the photos tab. The Morecambe and Heysham one has recently shown photos from the old refinery at Heysham HTH

      cheers

  3. Hi Jon I've just started soldering up the pulleys from etch you supplied and wondered if you had any left. I think I'd need more of the larger size to fully rig the jib. Double at the hook and double in the jib-end.

Probably two more but spares are always handy. Any chance?

    cheers

You were right Jon, sorry. If I use two smaller ones in the jib end there's sufficient.i messaged Mr Wildboarfell re. jibs and runners but he's not responded. Do you know if he had any spares as he indicated in the thread?

      Cheers

      Thanks Jon

Can I not buy a full fret? Surely 2 in the hook needs 2 in the jib?

      cheers

Was there not a system called water "scrubbing" where the residue could be compressed into building materials? If the will was genuinely there it could be sorted. NAFI

Yeah, they said coal was dead but were happy to import it cheap from Poland, South America etc.

Shutting the pits in the 80's was Thatchers revenge for Ted Heath's demise at the miners hands.
