[Bridge clearance in rural goods yard]

Hi,

 

Have a search online for images of the 'Auchmuty' branch in Fife.  One of the bridges was so tight that it was possible to see score marks in the stone, caused by the passing locos and stock.

Nice piece of work.  I've had a go at a few of the 1/48th soft-skins from Tamiya, and found them to be an enjoyable build. It's a nice scale to work in too.

 

All you need now is one of their Tigers to terrify!

You've got at least one prototype to claim for support.  The Glasgow Underground, before modernisation in the 1970s, only fully painted one side of their stock.

 

Those wagons are some really nice modelling.

Pub interiors could be tricky - you could use the Queen Vic, or the Rover's Return but I suspect using a real one for research may prove a more enjoyable and fulfilling experience.

You're right; it's the same chassis as used under a number of bodies including the railroad class 08.  Others, I think, include the J83, 2721 class Pannier, and Thomas.
