  1. Running mine on DC only have the same lighting issue with the top light on the cab end showing when running the opposite direction as there should be no tail lights also there is in the cab a strange bluish white light.
  2. Did lubricate when purchased hence if any one else has had simular issue.
  3. Just purchased one this has a noisy motor any one else had issues with these i presume its a 3 pole type.
  4. Just read these posts just purchased a GM model D, tried my 8 pin locos which ran better than the 21 pin ones these are eratic and noisy both types wont run slowly at a crawl could this be a fault with the controller, these being a mix of modern Bachmann Hornby interestingly i tried a Heljan class 15 that runs as slow as my feedback contoller.
  5. Just purchased a GM model D some of the 8 pin models run slowly but the 21 pin run eratically and will only run constant at high speed not sure what causes this i dont know if returning to Gaugemaster will be able to solve this.
  6. How are these lights meant to operate running on DC mine has no cab lights and has a tail light at cab end and all four lights at the front not what it says in the instructions.
  7. All my steam locos are of the newer Hornby and Bachmann models i can run them so slow you can barely see them move but this is on GM DF Feedback.
  8. How does the latest Crawler 3 compare with the Gaugemaster D are they the same or better for very slow running would like opinions please before purchasing.
  9. I use the DF can not show the wave form, but looking for a controller to replace this due to the motor buzz from using the DF tried there normal D but the crawl slow speed was not good unless i received a faulty one, is the Vector Crawler 3 as good as the Gaugemaster Feedback for this purpose.
  10. Refering to the top picture with the red blinds, i purchased a s/h model some time ago all over green where some one had fitted these at one end, not good when running in reverse yet the photo shows the red blinds with the loco facing forward unless this is a top and tail.
  11. Just found this post regarding the Midlands - Merseyman i have the same picture, i doubt the class 33 made the journey all the way, but is there any sightings of these in the North West in this period mid 60s.
  12. Mike, which is nearer to the so called Ford blue the Motorail or Mat versions.
  13. Mine are Gaugemaster DF they dont make them any more for this reason but i have not found yet any controller with the same slow running quality.
  14. Looking to purchase the Crawler 3 to replace my GM Feedback do these perform as well without any motor buzz, i do like running locos slow without any jerkiness or sudden starts, the GM is perfect in this but has the usual feedback buzz from the motors.
  15. Just found a picture not sure can show on here, the first Ford Car Train Dagenham to Halewood ran on 7/7/66 hauled by Class 47 D1768 with Cartics.
  16. Thanks Mike, would love to see a picture of these heading to Halewood, only seen Ford trains using the carflats at this time.
  17. Just purchesed brand new loco ran fine forward then put in reverse and motor slipping no drive sounds like a gear issue.
  18. Very interesting i wonder if the earlier body would fit onto the latest chassis was thinking of City of Nottingham weathered version with the fixed rear bogie, with out too much modification.
  19. Mike, can you explain this if you have a picture, would like to see how it looks, thanks.
  20. Thanks Mike for the information, as to why i did not ask that question first yes i probally would have but i was asking a general question i only thought of that later when you mentioned it.
  21. Thanks Mike, it was the Harwich to Manchester workings i was interested in any one have pictures.
  22. Those running in the 60s were these usually seen in rakes with other ferry van makes or single with in mixed goods, not seen any pictures of these in train formations.

Fitting a sound decoder the speaker wires are soldered to SP1 and SP2 shown in picture is this correct, does the Analogue model use the same PCB as the pre fitted sound version. The answer is Yes, Please Delete.
