  1. It's tricky as Hattons were far and away the best for OD. Kernow seem to have most of the range, and Gaugemaster too but I always have difficulty with their website. I'm not sure about overseas customers though.
  2. I received mine yesterday and it looks fantastic so I've ordered a couple more. I'll do what I can to encourage the production of obscure wagon types in 00!
  3. I'd love a couple of these but not sure I can stretch to a three pack. Is there any chance they'll be available singly in the future?
  4. I love those models. I'm hanging on for an rtr Manchester Liners container Anyway, here's some more:
  5. These two are banana boxes from slightly earlier (early 70s) at Galveston and Puerto Cortez, but I assume similar ones came to the UK.
  6. Having lost my Dad earlier in the year I've started trying to digitize his numerous photographic slides. He worked for Manchester Liners from about 1974 to 79 and there are quite a few pictures of containers at various locations. The quality isn't great but hopefully some may be of interest.
  7. I received my two replacement chassis' at the weekend. Feeling guilty as some of you guys seem to have been without them for ages - mine were only gone a couple of months! One has reassembled easily, the other will need a little work as I damaged the body taking it apart but that's okay. Thanks for that Hornby and well done!
  8. It crossed my mind it might be a cut and shut but it came ostensibly new and boxed from the stand of a reputable dealer at the Alexandra Palace show (2007) so should be trustworthy.
  9. Hi Everyone, Thanks for this thread! I’ve just been to check my three Hornby class 31’s which are all packed away in boxes at present and have been for the last year or so. They were all fine when I put them away but now I have problems: 31270 (01 05) and 31111 (16 06) are both split. I’ve removed the bodies which are both salvageable although the former has a long crack behind the cab door at one end. The cab chassis at one end of 31111 has broken off completely. 31174 (27 05) seems okay at present but this one’s had an underpowered motor from the start. I’ve emailed Hornby but all in all I’m not best pleased especially as they’re my only mainline engines (yes I like 31’s). I'll let you know the response.
