With around 6 weeks to go, heres the list of layouts and traders at our Open Day Layouts: "Middleton Road" - OO Gauge SDRM Club Layout "Harpur Hill" - The clubs new inprogress layout which we hope to have running for the day "Vale View" - O Gauge Visiting Layout "Hogwarts in Winter" - N Gauge visiting layout "Freshwater Stop" - American N Gauge Visiting Layout Traders: North Western Models Leigh Hobbies Club Sales Stand Sweetieliciouz SDRM Demo & Info Stand Light Refreshments also available

Stockport Club are once again hosting a Clubroom Open Day, There will be a variety of layouts in action as well as trade and the ever popular club sales stand Layouts inc: "Middleton Road" - OO Gauge SDRM Club Layout "Harpur Hill" - The clubs new inprogress layout which we hope to have running for the day "Vale View" - O Gauge Visiting Layout plus at least one more visiting layout! Hi Geraint, Fantastic to hear from you! The open day went very well thanks, with lots of visitors and some good funds raised for the club. I've recently under taken some restoration type work on Monyash based of old photos we have of it, this has included a new road sign which has a nod to its past pointing the way to Arbour Low, other works include putting the correct midland fencing back on the station, replacing the broken telegraph poles, building new signals and a number of other scenic works. theres still a way to go on the station and goods yard boards but at least its still here and now starting to look more presentable again. Sadly the Arbour Low section was lost many years ago and certainly before i joined the club in 2000. cheers Kevin

This evening we will be getting all set up for our Open Day tomorrow Layouts will include: Middleton Road - OO Keskinerainen - G Rethlow - N The Village - 009 Monyash - OO Plus demo, trade and club sales stands, Light refreshments also available The scout hut has level access for those with mobility issues, limited parking is available at the scout hut, and we ask that visitors who do park on Cartwright street leave driveways clear for residents. Hi Mike, Wow thats amazing! As the current Chairman for SDRM it will be great to meet you! I'm sure things will have changed on Monyash over the years since youve seen it but you may find some parts that you built are still part of it. Kevin

Quick update for the Club Open Day! Confirmed layouts: Middleton Road - Our own club OO gauge layout, thats just got onto the circuit in the last year or so, it has recently attended both New Mills and Preston Shows Rethlow - This years visiting layout, N Gauge and depeicts a modern image railway town somewhere in the north of england alongside a transport musieum and a busy container base Monyash - The clubs very first layout (built C1976) will be on static display prior to its scenic restoration More Layouts to follow Trade wise we have North Western Models - suppliers of detailing kits and accessories, a regular attendee at most north west area shows plus the clubs sales stand Light refreshments will be available Entry is by donation with all funds going to the club

Just reading through this thread, i may well have missed a fix for these signals. We have 2 on our club layout that have failed, with the led coming on for a second then nothing. Im guessing that its the circuit board? any ideas or do we just get them replaced? Cheers Kevin

Greetings, I am having a few issues with my 6 wheel milk tanker when shunting around my layout goods yard. The problem seems to be that the tanker derails itself easily when pushed or pulled around curved track work and points. Does anyone else have this problem? I have tried to add some additional weight to the chassis in an attempt to stabilize and reduce this problem with little to no success. I have had no issues with any other wagons inc the Hornby version of the 6 wheel milk tanker. Any ideas would be great. Cheers

Hi Castle aye good old 5029 is doing alrite shes had a lot of work done this year as such hasnt been seen by many only those of us who lookafter her (inc myself) as you said there were soo many changes and "improvements" made to pritty much every locomotive throughout its career its very hard to make a true accurate model unless you have all the info and are only modeling a certain time period where the loco is like that. cracking shot at Taplow Nunney
