Out of intrest as accurascale have taken some hattons items how far along was the self propelled track crane project and could this be a contender at some point in the future. With selectable dcc controled drive on site which is disconnected for movement by train🤔🤪

Interesting weathering on welsh 37's any ideas?
Gareth 73 replied to Gareth 73's topic in UK Prototype Questions
these are 3 versions of the affect shown on 37138 of Flickr. I cant see them being from cleaning as all too perfectly straight and clean lined to the dirt. But could be wrong 🤔 -
I've notice several welsh 37's in the 70's seemed to sport some strange weathering to the nose. It seems something has landed on top of nose and flowed down the front of nose but diverted by the headcode box as the weathering finishes vertical to the edges of headcode box. I've not seen this on locos from other areas and wonder what duty would of caused such unusual weathering on individual locos. I haven't got the list to hand with the numbers I've found but 37's 138, 179, 269 certainly show this affect as some point. Thanks for any help, I think I ll end up modeling this affect anyway but it be nice to know the reasons behind it.

Jim’s “out and about with GBRf” thread

Looking at Google maps the tree line seems to suggest the middle road was perhaps just a head shunt. Tho it could end up next to some school for wizzards lol -
I've got 12 clans, all ten built, hengist and 1 of to be another from the canceled batch. Havent got a pic of em all together. Ive also got 14 crostis 10 as built 4 rebuilt. And im half way through the class 26's. ive also got 9 of the GP40X diesel made for the southern Pacific in america. They only owned 4 but ive got 4 with elephant ears as built, 4 with no ears as rebuilt and the 1 that was taken over by the union pacific. With nowhere to display let alone run them anymore, must need medication

Sorry I couldn't organise a t3 to redditch to save u that trundle but I didn't want to upset covdriver either lol. Was surprised on how quick u changed units. -
Excellent thank you for the info. Now to find a better pic of it while it was in use.

Hi A picture of Bristol bath road appeared on twitter last night and tucked away behind everything is what looks to be an ex GWR auto coach painted blue. Any idea what coach it is and what was its role at that time. I've tried loads of different Google searches to no avail. Thank you for any help

I must admit to loving the look of the clans compared to the Brits. So much so I have 12(yes I know there's only 10 in pic but since got hengist and another to be decided on lol) most are waiting more detailing and weathering but all have been renamed/renumbered as needed to get all 10.

Class 37 Photos...

If I remember right wasn't the dent caused by hitting a tree(or some obstruction) while working a sandite circuit on the cambrian during a storm -
Class 37, by Accurascale
Gareth 73 replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
After listening to andy7's video stuff having a working fan, what I want to know is when is accurascale going to get the black smoke and flames out the exhaust. I think there's going to be a lot of thrashing going on lol -
Hi I'm looking for a Bachmann std4 tank body. All I need is the water tanks themselves so if there is other damage/bits missing thats not a problem. Thought it was worth asking if someone had something in their spares box before I cannibalise a complete loco. Thank you for looking Gareth

Class 50, By Accurascale
Gareth 73 replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
I hope that they are dcc controlled and they don't come with a small bit of wire to waggle them to bits with! 🤣 -

The Pigs dash certainly is not made with wood its just a metal panel that contains the standard fighting vehicle instruments of the time. The only wood was the rear seats hence the comment about not been comfortable lol -
I think its because they are not fitted for transit from the manufacturer as they would flop around and get damaged nothing more sinister than that

Surely most of us have had the phenomenon of the last waggon detaching when you take you eye off the train only for it to reappear on the front of the loco -

For those that know about class 25s
Gareth 73 replied to SouthernBlue80s's topic in UK Prototype Questions
A quick Google of images and they seem to be very similar so go for it. And 190 seemed to get very dirty so thats another plus point as far as I'm concerned. -
Because it was mentioned in the post that the tender has a cab to save turning the loco. Hence putting the firebox at the down hill end
-
Easy solved It works tender first

Sort of my reasoning behind this loco. An austerity tank loco. They were used in Germany and Poland after the war hence the smoke deflectors but were repatriated in the early 50s where BR used them for various work. Here we see the fireman on 90998 taking it easy while waiting the road. At the time the loco was shedded at shrewsbury and was known by the unofficial name The Wrekin Giant. For some reason that is lost in the mists of time it was banned south of crewe. Thanks to Steve at railtec for the custom numbers top service as ever.
