About Me
It was inevitable that I should be into railways and railway modelling, as my uncle was a driver at Crewe North, and my Dad a Ffestiniog Railway volunteer and railway modeller.
I have been a freelance professional modelmaker since the late seventies, with interruptions for a few years while working in advertising. I've been back full time since the late nineties, building oil and gas rig models as well as architectural and model railway work.
I am still trying to get time to build my industrial layout, which I will feature on here soon, I hope!
Railway Interests include Narrow Gauge, the Great Central Railway, Industrial railways of all kinds.
I'm also a keen mine explorer with my partner Petra (who takes better photos than me) and a fan of cycle racing and general Land Roverage. I recently sold my LR County 110 and am in serious withdrawal.
