  1. We had a guy take over “Rogers” hardware store in Mottingham. He is now referred to as the thief of Baghdad.
  2. That seems a lot of effort to get a hungry caterpillar to metamorphose, got any pictures? Ash
  3. Talking of high tech, check our drying facilities Rich
  4. The position of the wagons and buildings mask the joint to the back scene allowing you to take the shot downwards slightly. The previous picture was lower and the grass in the foreground masked it. Two terrific shots Rich.
  5. Ive been waiting for Reed & Weap, could have a Solicitors Office upstairs? Rich.
  6. The only thing I could suggest they’d need that much muscle for is to lift the boat trains out of Folkestone? The approach to Newhaven is too flat. The next places are Exeter or Meldon, and that’s too far west. Rich.
  7. Don’t forget your hi-vis, they’re funny about that, we got the vehicle right inside two years ago. Rich
  8. Have a great weekend at Allipalli Clive Hope many of your Southern followers drop in. Rich
  9. Hi Clive As one troll to another, you have to accept it will never be right. Just make a point of never taking photos of the rear of a train, with some nonce trying like mad to apply the brake. I have a dcc roundy roundy, two tracks, but the down one can be isolated to run analogue. It is necessary to run in any new loco, or trouble shoot problems before fitting a decoder. Also nice to sit and watch some of my ancient collectibles trundle round. Rich
  10. Twenty one minutes and it’s just blown our doors off, probably in Holland by now. Is that what they call “bracing” down your way? Rich
  11. I bought Eliminator on cassette to play in the car back in the day, had to get rid of it as my driving became too confrontational. The only record ever to affect me this way. Rich
  12. Regarding the slippage, I’ve always understood that crews were told to avoid sanding at the London Termini because of the complicated pointwork at the station throat. The double header out of Central would be to save a movement , very often they would attach the bankers (no sniggering) to return them down the incline. Yeoford is an interesting junction , not terribly photogenic especially after they demolished the island platform building, so you don’t see many shots of it. Rich
  13. I’ve found roket glue works well , if you need to bond to plastic sheet, give the surface a primer coat of liquid poly. This seems to really help . Rich
  14. Glad to hear you’re feeling better, your Duckiness, I hope to contribute a little more if I can master this new format. Spent the last couple of sessions hard wiring my Oxford Radial after the first decoder fried itself in a fortnight. Got it going nicely and attempted some weathering. I’ll now crash and burn attaching a pic Ash.
