  5. Progress creeps on very slowly. Can anybody point me to a budget set of drawings for the chimney, dome etc? I’m thinking of having a go at turning them up myself. cheers in advance John

  11. I too have a BR brake that proved to be beyond mu soldering skills @Richard Hall! I keep picking it up but I think it’s beyond redemption and will have to get another and start afresh, applying lessons learnt. John

  15. Does anybody have any thoughts on the of D-Limone for fixing chairs on Easitrac turnout bases? I’ve had quite a few come adrift and I wonder if it’s maybe not suitable? TIA John
  16. Joy of joys a running 08 chassis! It runs one way fine, but rough and jamming after a few seconds the other way. Investigations showed that one wheel (stub axle ) rotates in the muff, so I’ll fix that first… Video shows how it all is, any comments/observations welcome. Revised YouTube link thanks all John

  18. Yes thanks Chris, that agrees with my thinking, sometimes just posting on here helps to focus the mind…. I think I’ll stick to chassis design and get that to work for me. cheers John
  19. Pondering this further I’m guessing that the 30T worm could be employed to just turn the centre axle on the 08 but couldn’t have the 14 tooth spur gear nex to it any more, so I think its a no really? John

  21. Can anybody advise whether the recently introduced gearbox block works with the 08 chassis 3-681 which i have not had much luck with? i thought I had seen some discussion about it but cannot seem to find it now. Thanks in advance John
