Some excellent positive publicity for model railways courtesy of the Revolution Team on the Jeremy Vine show today - who would have thought that a sound fitted Ngauge class 59 would make national radio!
What time were they on? So I don't have to listen to the whole show!

Any update on the R-T-R GNoSR V/F Class 4-4-0 / SE&CR G Class 4-4-0 wheels issue ?
Maybe an estimated date for delivery ?
.
I messaged a couple of weeks ago and was told that they were only receiving the wheels in small batches and sending more locos out as soon as they got a new batch. I'm guessing I'm towards the end of the queue as I think I ordered just about the last one before they stopped being available on eBay.

For the future perhaps,a look at the USA,starting in NYC with Grand Central,Penn Station ( the original) the Subway and the El & a walk on the High Line. Some great material there ? Meanwhile the series is the tv highlight of the week IMHO.
As much as I've been enjoying the series, and I have, I've missed having a foreign piece in each episode. I know Tim has said that budgets are shrinking but I hope they manage to put this back for the next series. Nonetheless thank you for some really enjoyable viewing.

Can't help entirely Stephen but I doubt they were tethered, cattle don't usually have the necessary halters to give you something to tie on to and I certainly don't see anything to indicate this in pictures of cattle waiting in loading docks. If modern road transport is anything to go by you'd simply pack them in tight enough that they'd hold each other up and if there weren't enough to fill the wagon, then as you've already indicated you'd use a moveable bar or partition to provide the necessary support. Have to emphasise this is mostly educated guesswork based on no experience of moving cattle by train except what I've seen in photographs but some experience from the farm I grew up on.

Finally, you should also take note what happened to said Heritage operation when the line was restored to the national network - IT CLOSED!
I believe the heritage operation closed before the line was restored to the national network. Dartmoor Railway goes into Administration

There are no "citizens' rights" in the UK anyway. We are all "subjects"
Since the British Nationality Act of 1981 we are nearly all British citizens. The term subjects is now restricted to a small set of people.

Will there be a "Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines" set to follow on behind the Titfield Thunderbolt?
What a good idea. Maybe they could start a series - Trains in cinema, perhaps?

Interesting as all the other recent announcements from other companies have been, this is the sort of one I've been waiting for - Scottish pre-grouping. Thank you Rapido.

Really? Are you sure? You would think so and I would have agreed with you four days ago. But that was before the case of the "Colston Four."
That was a jury not a judge and if this went to court (which I seriously doubt) it would be heard by a judge.

Copyright law changed in 1956, before this the laws were different, particularly for films.
It's my understanding that the changes made were retrospective, so 70 years does apply. The Duration of Copyright and Rights in Performances Regulations 1995 (legislation.gov.uk)

Similarly, does Rapido have the will to fight this through the court? I am sure that Hornby would have run their "Trains on Film" proposal through their legal department before making any announcements or do they really believe that they were untouchable. Look to the very smug Mr. Kohler, he looks very confident. Hornby could very well lose some friends over this act of bastardry.
If action is taken, it would not be Rapido doing so directly, they are not the rights holders, it would be StudioCanal.

I suppose it will all come down to whether Hornby's "inspired by the Titfield Thunderbolt" gets them off the hook, and how long copyright lasts for films (isn't it 70 years or so? I remember Cliff Richard getting upset because his early stuff was running out of copyright and he was still drawing breath).
Basically, copyright exists for 70 years after the death of the major contributors to the film. How copyright protects your work: How long copyright lasts - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk). In this case, Charles Crichton alone, the director, died in 1999, so quite some time to go.

They are listed on eBay. SECR and GNoSR variants have already sold out apparently.
If you look further down the page, you'll see that the GNoSR and SECR variants are still to be released. I guess the items listed in the pull down menus are place holders.

Looks like a good initiative . Also seems quite inexpensive . Is that the whole loco for £185?
As far as I can see that is the price. More affordable than I'd been expecting.

Thanks. I was panicking that I'd already missed the GNoSR variants, but I see from the website that it's only SR, LNER and BR variants at the moment. GNoSR V/F Class/SECR G Class 4-4-0 (cdc-design.net)

Try looking here: From the Design Team (cdc-design.net) Still no ordering information but it appears to be the latest news.
BTW, I think you've got the topic name wrong, shouldn't it be RTR Great North of Scotland Railway V/F Class 4-4-0 (and SECR G Class).

The ORR has issued its data on station usage in the last year. Some interesting ups and downs, obviously due to Covid. Love that Berney Arms has the largest percentage increase in use of any station.

I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but let's just say again the double-deck sheep wagons for the Highland - they go with the Jones Goods and they're different but not too different.
