  1. Hi Dave, Thanks for taking the time to answer, I have a link to Steve Bartletts site so i'll have a look to see what I can find. Re books, I thought you might mention D.Larkin and they still seem reasonably priced on Amazon, but i'll do a search for Cheona books to see if they have anything useful or interesting!! Once again thanks for taking the time and keep up the good work!!! Chris
  2. Hi Dave, because I'm a bit late in realising these are now available just a quick couple of questions, 1)for the first 3 liveries (not Dutch) which era does each cover? 2)Is there a publication or website where I can find out more about these wagons and info on running numbers please? 3)I think on your website you mention multipacks of mermaids, any idea of timescale for these please? keep up the good work!! N gauge needs more people like you!! Regds Chris
  3. Hi Guys Thanks for your time in answering questions, lot of useful/informative stuff there!! "Olddudders" many thanks for listing the books series, will research availability for purchase, asap. That just leaves source of reallocation of Bullied/Maunsell stock to find so very nearly done!! Again thanks for your time and effort!! Regds Chris
  4. Higuys One question I forgot as son as I reread my post---is there an online source for finding out stock transfers between regions etc??? Chris
  5. Hi guys many thanks for the answers given, they explain a lot, but also give creedance to the old saying "there's a prototype for everything", however I was always under the impression that boundary changes happened earlier (late 40's early 50's),so this leads me to ask my next questions-- (probably opening Pandora's box/can of worms)---1)when did the boundary change take place between BR(W)& BR(S)----2)did buildings etc just get a new coat of paint in appropriate regional colours??--3)did BR(w) put a lower Quadrant signal on an LSWR signal post etc etc?? thanks in advance for your time and effort in answering my tiresome questions--but as Richard s Said "Reasearch, research, research" MTIA Chris
  6. Hi Thanks for taking on and explaining this subject--as an N Gauge modeller it makes things SR a bit more understandable-- but I would like to ask a question re post 32 "but post nationalisation you could certainly see mixed rakes of blood and custard with BR green."1) would the Blood & Custard Stock had "S" suffix after running numbers??? and 2)How long/late did Blood and Custard last before repaint to SR Green??? MTIA Chris
  7. "Talisman" Thanks for your time and effort. Regds Chris

  10. Neil, The Excel file is a very useful thing and can only get better over time as and when more info comes to light. I personally felt that might be the case about the differences but I didn't want to "put foot in mouth "too soon. As I never saw these loco's in service I rely heavily on this sort of thing in the public domain, from people in the know sharing their knowledge and experience, so my comments are obviously only from what I see in photo's that kindly souls share with us, which I hope will enable us to tweak the those loco's to get them "just right" So my final words are keep up the good work!! regds Chris
  11. Hi guys I'm relatively new to RM web (so be gentle-I bruise easily) but already I'm finding this thread very useful and informative!! Has the following information been noted anywhere yet or have I missed the following:- Some locos have Deeper Headcode boxes (are these early loco's having had disc's replaced)if so when)??---Larger 1 piece bodyside grills replacing smaller grills on earlier build loco's(at which loco did small grills finish/large grills start)--if above is known can it be incorporated in the already useful Excel file.?? MTIA Regds Chris
  12. Hi, Thanks for the info, re Model rail Do they have a back issues Dept -as I would like to get hold of other articles relating to loco's and liveries. regds chris
