We tend to forget the size of trees as we see them everyday, looking good.

Mucking about with a Lima horsebox, as I said last year, I wanted to see if I could turn it into a GN, CCT, don't look to bad so far.
I've taken all the detail back to a flat surface, and 'Planked' the sides and ends (they are a bit wide), then using pre cut strips (Evergreen) added the end doors and framing, just reached painting stage, other than changing the wheels to 'Munsell' type I won't be touching the chassis for a while, it's almost time to head North again.
In the last picture I need to add two large louvered air vents, this will get done later.

The Bounds Green layout has been in my mind for many years, didn't have the room for it, but do now, it'll have to be a bit smaller that scale, but I think I can get away with it.
I lived on the Noel Park Estate in the 50's and early 60's, now in Northern Queensland, strange how we move about the globe.

Happy for you mate!
Having done the same thing, twice, I know it’s a good feeling being back in possession of your tools (and modeling stuff.) When I came to the states I had just two duffel bags of gear. Look at me now! Onwards and upwards mate!
J54 is the dogs do-dahs. If the back looks like it’s sticking up like a bitch on heat, it’s possible to place a 12mm long bit of plastic under that rear axle! At least the couplings on my 8 or 9 Hornby 060s now line up with all my stock!Regards Shaun

Hi Shaun
Hadn't notice the back, of the J54 sticking up, I'll have to take a closer look.
Looking forward to having everything under one roof again. I didn't realise that I had accumulated so much, there must be at least half a ton. Next year there will be at least another 200kg of Books and Magazines to be taken to Queensland.
This is what the Garden looked like after the wet season.

Well packed container, think I might have to get one one day. I only had to move it 2,300 km, I took 6 days to get there, unload and get back. All safe and sound.
Strange, my surname is on one of your boxes.

Long time no post. Been very busy on other things, I've had to sort out and pack as much of my stuff as possible onto a trailer and transport it across Australia, I can't get it all on board, so I've had to be very selective, all of my Tools, that will be needed to refurbish the house, then whatever else I can pack. All up 100% of my tools, and 75% of my models/railway stuff is now in Queensland. I'll have to do another trip next year, as there are plenty of books etc still to be transported.
Very little in the way of modelling has been accomplished, except for the J54 now having a number, there should be a small 'N' after the number, but I can't find my yellow paint (not surprising really)

And I need to go on an LNER BG recognition course.
Thinking @31As superb modelling was a Bachmann model. I've put myself in detention, my mum will be phoned and I will write 100 lines!

G'Day mullie,
I'll join you, I thought it was a Thompson BG as well.

Don't think I've ever seen or heard of a layout with so many N1's. Wonderful.
I'm sure I'm going to need at least one more.

Could have put it down to 'Bomb' damage, circa 1940.
