  1. Had a rather joyous, albeit temporary dream last night that Hornby announced an LNER E4 - wishful thinking, or a premonition?

I had hoped that Locomotion would announce this, not to be, we get a Precedent instead. Still feel this will not sell as well as an E4.

Perhaps they have now got a feel for balancing a 2-4-0 and it will set a Precedent....

A Precedent does have the pretty/collectible factor - an E4 has a more bucolic/‘cute’ look to it though. Fingers crossed - as I have been doing for the last few years!

  2. Two brothers. In a van. And then a meteor hit. And they ran as fast as they could.

Hadn't changed them since we moved in, has been on the to-do list. Dirty business indeed. Bolts were completely rusted so spent 30 mins smashing the hinges on both seats with a hammer to weaken them enough to pull out with the claw. Previous least favourite chore was taking out the bins, but that is a joy in comparison.

It can also be annoying when working on said appliance when you find out that the various parts are not bog standard after all.

Produces the top model for HOW much?

Hattons have them on offer a year later.

£1 is a bit of a fantasy however...

Perhaps the damage could be repaired in such a way that paint and weathering disguise it?

  18. I would love one of the Locomotion GNR Atlantics in BR Black. Not for 280 sheets though. Looks like I’m a bit late to the party on that one!
