  1. Does anyone know if GWR Pythons were well travelled in BR days? This East Anglian modeller rather likes the cut of the Parkside kit's jib.

According to Rule 1 they got pretty much anywhere & everywhere across the whole of the system.

I've seen several photos of them on M&GN services in the 50s, and one or two on ECML trains as well, so yes, OK I think.

  2. Heavy rain today and had to put the heating on this evening. Looking forward to the long winter nights, enough of this summer malarkey.

Just don't get overambitious and lay the throat pointwork using Peco large radius points. They'll occupy the same space as the original CJF design for the whole station...

      Danemouth

  15. Thalys and Eurostar, very enjoyable. It’s get me everytime, doing 186mph on a train is quite an experience! Roll on HS2 I say.

      BoD

you think HS 2 will actually work?

    2. NXEA!

      NXEA!

Yes, absolutely. Don’t forget it’s not just about better connecting the UK, it’s about capacity to grow the classic network and allow more freight. Vital if the economy is to survive after Brexit.

  16. Christ, just impulse purchased a Dapol O Gauge Pannier. At this rate I’ll be modelling P4 in my 30’s.

You got a link to the layout Andy? I'd be interested to see. My OO Gauge layout lives in our bedroom at the moment, so definitely no chance of a second layout at the moment! One day I'll have a railway room...

  18. Been dabbling with modelling clay this evening, rather enjoyable that.

    1. NGT6 1315

      NGT6 1315

Well, I suppose you do need to model clay if you want to put a pottery business on your layout.

  19. Fiddle yards done this afternoon, very satisfying to have an operational layout at last!
