    2. Tim Dubya
  4. A very weighty sample it is to. The chassis molding weighs enough on its own and is very clean and crisp. Then the running plate is cast too giving extra weight. Handy knowing one of the exhibition team.
  5. Thanks Edwardian. Cant wait to install the turntable and turn the locos.
  6. Here are a few more shots First up is a low relief hotel I have made to go at the end of the line overlooking the turntable. Here is the turntable deck. Waiting for the well and then be fitted to the layout. This was a '45 cowans turntable fitted as Barton Wright didn't like locos running Tender/bunker first.
  7. Here is my Pre grouping layout. I have some backdating to carry out ie rebuild the platform canopy right upto the tranship shed. Few other minor details The layout is a near scale model of Holmfirth and will be based between 1890-1920. A couple of tasters.
  8. I'm on the look out for an E series vauxhall cresta or velox. Think they are the best looking car vauxhall ever made.
  9. Nope! Ask Nile - He's worked it out. Well I did suspect it would be a furness loco but to my untrained eye the gcr f1 looked close.
  10. Shared from Northern Viaduct trust On this day 54 years ago. the closure of the stainmore railway. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=522327161259266&substory_index=0&id=409400909218559
  11. Thanks Knuckles. I Wasnt blaming you I know you have no control over what they print etc.Just wanted to let you know the items had arrived and what had happened. It looks to me as they have caught them as they squeezed them into the plastic bag. The box was in perfect condition with no damage what so ever. It would explain why two are missing completely as they are probably on the packing floor. I have emailed them pictures of the damaged and missing parts. The design looks spot on. Do you have any information/instructions for the chassis of what gets cut off or cut out for the build?? Cheers Jon
  12. Knuckles. Just received my printed chassis from shapeways. Had to email them as two brake hangers are nowhere to be seen and one is snapped but just holding on to the chassis. Any explanation as to all the items on the chassis Regards Jon
  13. They are some really useful brackets Martin.top job Jon
  14. I say you've summed it up in a nutshell Dave. Perfect answer
  15. Get over it it doesn't matter just be grateful its running and not stuffed like most other nrm assets.
  16. Why the hell does it matter if its wrong or right. JUST ENJOY THAT THERE IS ANOTHER WORKING STEAM LOCOMOTIVE WORKING THE MAINLINE. I suggest if the people who say its wrong to have this or wrong to have that dib in their shallow pockets and buy the loco. Then they can have it their way. It belongs to the nrm and they have the say how it should be to run in today's current fast way of life.
  17. Thanks Alant. I will do. I am actually enjoying the architectural modeling side more than I thought I would Regards Jon
  18. This is my first scratch built building all be it low relief and first time working with a lot of the different materials. This is part of the back of the Victoria Hotel that stood at the end of the branch line at Holmfirth. It stood directly behind the turntable hidden only by a few tree's. A lot has had to be guesswork and using measurements from simular style buildings. As the hotel was demolished I'm awaiting more T section to finish the windows then onto guttering roof etc Jon
