  3. Hi, totally agree with you on that, ive not posted any of my projects on here for a while i build uk based micros and alot of them are freelance railways, i take great pleasure in creating my own worlds and scenarios for these systems, im of the opinion that if my models bring me pleasure in building and operating then thats good for me, whether they are industrial or quarries or docksides or agricultural there is alot of pleasure in building and creating that world fictional or real theres alot of scope old and new its meant to be for fun and relaxation at the end of the day and its what brings alot of people together. Right im off to lurk in the background again keep up the great work and take care all
  4. This is such a lovely little layout just what the doctor ordered, its full of atmosphere and inspiration, would love to get back into the hobby and build something similar
  5. Thanks for taking the time and effort to post all these photos, I remember vividly my dismay as these units started replacing my favorite emu's the 309, but over the years of seeing them daily I've grown quite fond of them , amazing to think they only missed out on being painted in br blue grey livery by a small margin, I think my favorite livery though is the white with red doors, boring I know but there it is! Thanks for posting
  6. Cracking little layout, really love this right up my street, look forward to more , well done
  7. Does anyone remember the old sidings in Colchester that were used to store withdrawn emus , I would love to hear any stories of explorations or see any photos, by the looks of it the site is now a housing estate.
  8. Hi,excellent little layout, im a massive fan of micros and this one is absolutely stunning, very atmospheric.I am following with keen interest, have you found any difficulties in using set track points? as in the past i have struggled with the dead frogs. regards Glenn
  9. Excellent have loved following the progress on this layout, the Braintree branch has a special place in my heart, i live very close to the junction at Witham and often hear the flanges squeeling round that tight bend. as a boy i remember the fertilizer trains and the goods yard at Braintree with the sugar beet trains often pulled by a 37. your layout has captured this atmosphere so well, well done , i love the f5 so common on braintree and maldon branch, keep up the good work it doesnt matter how long its taking as its a work of art, all the best Glenn
