  1. In the Operating and Maintenance Instructions sheet (REF01-91225) for R3246 TTS it say in the General section the three-pole motor locomotive runs from a 12 volt DC .In Routine Maintenance / Motor this locomotive as a life long FIVE-POLE sealed motor. Dose the R 3246 TTS run a three or five pole motor ?. D.R.M.
  2. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Is it the bigger buffers that make it 1 centimetre longer. Will be good when Hornby do their Bugatti P2 nose version. D.R.M.
  3. Got e-mail from New Modellers Shop yesterday morning saying my P2 R3246TTS had been dispatched & arrived this morning. Will be running in sometime over the weekend. D.R.M.
  4. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Top draw images as always Rob. D.R.M.
  5. Will anyone be getting a 2nd P2 and renaming it as one of the 5 P2s that where built in the class or even doing a Prince of Wales. D.R.M.
  6. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Look forward to seeing your video of your TTS P2. D.R.M.
  7. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rob your images have enhanced threads on here keep on adding them to thread whoever as started it. Having your images to view it is like a book with information about say the P2 but you need images to stop the topic being dull. Like I have said in past post ,don`t stop posting image on threads due to a winger on here. D.R.M.
  8. New Model Railway Shop as got a Rail Road P2 in stock as I write this. D.R.M.
  9. ============================================================================================= Look forward to seeing photographs of your work on your P2`s Rob. D.R.M.
  10. Rob is showing what the P2 could look like in other settings keep on with your first class (PS) work and posting then. D.R.M.
  11. ========================================================================================================================================= Like the video also your set layout looks well to. D.R.M.
  12. ===================================================================================================== We never know but Hornby might have it all in hand & a streamlined version ready in the wings to come out next year. D.R.M.
  13. Look forward to seeing the end product when complete. In the real world what would have been the future for the P2 with-out Mr Thompson`s part in the P2 story.
  14. ======================================================================================================== Ok then why do or have Hornby run two types of motor`s in steam locos then 3 & 5. Why don`t Hornby just have one style 3 or 5 pole skew like Bachmann run.
  15. ==================================================== So are you saying the 3 pole motor is on par with a 5 pole motor is same quality ,as powerful & as strong as the 5 pole motor. So why did Hornby fit 5 pole motors the their A1 Tornado 4-6-2s. I am sure P2 C.O.C.K O THE NORTH & Tender will weigh more.
  16. Why have Hornby used only a 3 Pole Skew motor on the C.O.C.K O` The North & not the 5 pole skew version.
