  1. This is what I was going from when thinking about my layout I'm now very confused as this site states although rarely done it doesn't state that it's not allowed to be done. As you can see it's an extract from a different thread from this website? Is there actually any regulartions written down?
  2. Great little layout and gives me some inspiration to create my own, full of character and atmosphere. What is the concern with the wiring. As I would have thought as long as the gentleman has ventilation, its PAT tested and is inaccessible to touch when operated then it would be fine it appears to be in a plastic case so is insulated. Forgive me only just starting in the model railway world and only living in a small flat I don't have much space.
  3. Hi mike, really nice job on the 31 network rail loco im looking to do the same and was wondering what make of loco you started with and where I can get the detailing kit from or have you plans you could send me many thanks and keep up the good work look forward to seeing more
  4. This wouldn't be the conversion to a calidonian 0-6-0 jumbo we spoke about would it
  5. so after having a keen intrest in model rail ways for some years and owning a few locomotives I've seen the magazine in the shops. Now I'm all for a bargin and brought 5 of the first issue and after some mixed reviews on you tube and other sites i felt Id air my view's and also to ask some friendly advice. so the track people are complaining that its different to the Hornby and Peco tracks but this dosn't bother me as I'm looking at aging and weathering my track any way to give it a more real look and so what if the fish plates slide of to easy I've found that taking them off and using a small set of pliers to crimp them down they stay on perfect so no problems there. Now then the coach and at first i thought wow bargin 3.99 a coach cant complain there and I must say you realy cant yes they need a small amout of work to clear some points and curves but we are all modelers we dont expect things to be perfect straight away its part of the fun finding a problem sitting back and solving it over a good old flask of tea and being able to say I've fixed that. The detail on the coach i find super taking in to account the price i paid and behind my class 37 in BR green they look superb. These are a blank canvas so that any modeler can develop them in to what ever they need with the help of a few water slide transfers. Now the friendly advice? dose any one out there know where i can purchase 4mm (00 gauge) transfers from to create the 50s 60s style of coach with BR marking ? I'm looking to do the coach numbers BR crest and windows with no smoking/ smoking sign and any other fine detailing packs to make these coaches that little bit more better any help is great thanks chris
