About Me

Driving coaches around Guernsey, no longer a PC.

Been living in Guernsey with Mrs Bomp and an apparently ever increasing number of Bomplets (three so far) since 1999. Before that I lived and grew up (to an extent, anyway) in Burton upon Trent, with stints away at schools and university (Lincoln, Repton and Liverpool in that order).

Part way through finishing our second house, which should see us out. That's the plan, anyway. I don't want to do another house up for someone else to enjoy. Biggest slog was digging the basement out by hand (with unstinting help from my father in law). 12 skips full of soil, all moved at least twice - dug from the ground then wheeled round into the skips. Why do I go on about the basement? It's the hardest work I've ever done, and for the longest I've ever done such hard work. What kept me going? Knowing that I was having some of the basement for my trains.
