  1. If you wanted to amuse the little ones you could leave the - ington and add the chugg- and pretend it exists near Little Muddle!
  2. I was amazed to watch a plane crop spraying in the Kent countryside about the early 70s- were there strict rules for that?
  3. The Sopwith Camel wins hands down- the Spitfire is unable to photograph 1935- the shutter speed is too fast!
  4. You would have thought a green chair would be appropriate since you are the main occupant- or is it brown as part of the correction process?
  5. Living beside the tracks at Cheam the only EMUs to be worth watching were the Nelsons thundering through with their swaying front gangways- after the wood-bodied augmented 4-SUBs were withdrawn.

  7. Let’s hope they haven’t ended up in the Streatham Common condemned coaches sidings before we got to run them! I found this pic said to be at Cheam ( I lived there ‘53- ‘63 ).and I think it is taken near the road bridge carrying the Epsom road, near Nonsuch School.
  8. What happened to Hackbridge Cables? I remember their cables reels loaded on flat wagons in their siding during the early 60’s. No sign oh SECR coaches then.

  11. Perhaps a few white metal figures could give you enough weight- a couple of off- duty guards getting a lift home huddled around the stove with a mug of tea laced with scotch to see the new year in......
