The second pic is a wonderful portrayal of your Grange, your lovely trees in the background make it

Aston On Clun. A forgotten Great Western outpost.

Glad to hear news from Wolf Hall. I hope your insurers made restoring your singed bike manageable and covered your labour cost! Painting all those droplights must have tried your patience though it was a bit alarming seeing those coach bodies stacked as if they were at a car breakers yard. -
I think Edna has folded arms and is the grumpier one!

Number one for me - in the absence of motive power !

Outstanding !!

Well, at my time of life I figured I wouldn’t be buying any more locomotives of this quality given the long gestation time - and having read that they were DC compatible (but with basic sound ) I thought this might be a good investment in case I was tempted by DCC in the future! I used to use the Q Kits sound controllers in the 1990s but was never happy with the sound quality.

I’m running mine on DC (Guagemaster) and the synchronisation is very good : there is a satisfying brake release squeal just before the injectors hiss and the chuff starts. The inertia is impressive but so far I haven’t been able to trigger the braking sounds. Overall it’s so good I might not bother to move to DCC.

Thank you Accurascale for a superb model that oozes quality and captures the presence of the real thing except for the smell !! I collected mine from a DHL service point when all the grandchildren had gone home. If SWMBO finds the box she will think I’ve been buying expensive O gauge stuff but would be surprised at the very reasonable price ! Now I have to get some DCC kit to make it work to get the best out of the sound chip - but it’s DC for now!

Yes , that view gives an impression of movement - your Grange is the loco to look out for when spotting at Encombe - splendid!

My Anthony Manor was due to ba delivered on Thursday but I have grandchildren staying and couldn’t be sure we would be at home. I had the packaged diverted to a local DHL service point and will pick it up when they have all gone. I also decided that ‘can I see’ then ‘can I hold it’ would be difficult- so I will pick it up when they have gone on Monday and I can enjoy the opening experience! After so many positive reviews tge excitement is building!

It’s been like waiting in the departure lounge for a long haul flight, chatting to other excited passengers but now we’re all boarding over the next few days we’ll be preoccupied and this thread will go rather quiet. It’s been a pleasure following you all, I’ve learnt a lot and I will treasure my new manor as much as I did the last one in 1981!

I sense a renewed interest in the milk churns by your porter in light of the efforts of the milk marketing board in the South Hams area!

Tha last view is new, an excellent overview including the potato field sink hole. By theway Sean the sheep is at silly mid on.

Yes, that’s what we do on the interweb at 7.15 every morning with a bowl of nutty muesli and a cup of coffee!

Is your Grange cleared for crossing the viaduct to Little Muddle- otherwise it won’t be running very far !
