  9. Excellent work Andy, it really does bring the area to life. Will be following progress with interest. Gerry
  10. It may be quite unremarkable - BUT it is very atmospheric and understated. A first class piece of modelling. Gerry

Hi Andy, I have found your 7mm work to be inspiring, so am looking forward with great interest to seeing this latest project develop. Gerry
  12. Thanks, much appreciated. Gerry
  13. Would it be possible/appropriate to let others know what or where 'the other channel' actually is. I would like to follow Paul's progress but am struggling to find out where it has moved. Any help would be appreciated. Gerry
  14. Sorry I can't obliged regarding the Crimson version, but have posted a couple of short video's of the GWR 4 car set for anyone who is interested. Sorry in advance for the quality of the video's, not my forte' I'm afraid (as is quite obvious!). Gerry
  15. You get one lamp with the 2 car set and one lamp with the 4 car set. Initially I thought the lamp just plugged in at the rear of the coach, but it looks as if the small holes to allow the wires to pass through the PCB board need to be drilled out. I hope somebody can confirm one way or the other, please. Unfortunately the interior lights on my 4 car set, when on, highlight the fact that in two of the coaches the interior seating partitions along with the luggage racks have come adrift. So I will also be taking a couple apart in the near future. They do not appear to have 'travelled well'. Gerry
  16. They do look nice, and even better in the flesh. My order from Tower arrived this morning. I haven't had the 4 car set out of their boxes yet, but the 2 car set has been unpacked and been given a short test run. I am not disappointed. Gerry
  17. Sorry..... I really should try to show more patience. Gerry
  18. My deposit was paid to Richard at Telford in 2015. I'm not sure whether said deposit has been handed over to Dapol or not - am assuming it has and that I will receive some sort of confirmation in due course, along with a request for the balance. Hopefully it won't be too long now!! Gerry

    Hi from a new guy

Thanks for both the welcome and the link to the GWR site Brian I'm sure I will get round to posting pictures in time but at the moment I'm struggling to work out how to bookmark topics that I've found to be of interest on the forum. I have pressed the "follow" button but it doesn't seem to register - i'm obviously doing something wrong! Sure I'll get there in time. Gerry

    Hi from a new guy

Hi dahrenne, and thanks for the welcome. Still getting used to the forum but there does appear to be lots to get stuck into for a new member - no doubt you are finding the same!. Gerry Thanks for the welcome Baby Deltic, much appreciated. Gerry
  21. Thanks for the stage by stage explanation of your build. I have the same kit, a GWR Open 'C' Tube Wagon, among my stash of kits waiting to be built. It is certainly an old kit, price tag on my kit is 97p. Unfortunately I am modelling in OO so may have problems ahead but will use your build as an aid to completion. Regards Gerry

    Hi from a new guy

Thanks for the welcome Geoff, much appreciated. I'm already starting to appreciate how supportive the chaps on this forum appear to be towards newcomers. It is certainly encouraging. Gerry
