He also said a chamber heater wouldn't work but I bought one a few weeks back and it is giving very good results in my Saturn 2, heating the build plate and the resin to above 25 degrees within about 20 minutes and then, because it has a thermostatic switch, it turns off most of the time. I start printing and when the print has started the UV light underneath heats the resin quite well and the heater hardly gets used. I am considering a purchase of the Saturn 4 as large loco and carriage body parts being released more effectively, appeals. Cheers, Ian

Use hot water to make the supports remove more easily if you find it difficult anywhere. Usually, after a bit of time in a fairly warm tub, they will come away very easily. Cheers, Ian in Blackpool

I would take a look at any commercial bogies you have and try and work out how they have handled the same issue. Then adapt it to yours.

Just don't get yourself tied up in knots!

This picture from the www shows a live steamer three and a half inch gauge. Looks like the axleboxes and compensating beams and spring arrangement is all fixed to the bogie with very limited clearances for going around a curve. Stick with doing it yourself. I started in March 2019. First goes here. The latest things I am doing are these: If you do little and often, it gradually gets to the point where you can add all the parts up and suddenly there is a whole loco there! Great fun. Slaters do a 2'9" bogie wheel on a one eighth inch axle, see if you can just purchase the tyre?Roxey have 2'8" solid metal diesel wheels. Use Markits return crank system for 4mm or 7mm which should be able to be adapted - pictures on Roxey Mouldings web pages, etch body and chassis from NS using PPD to get everything on one etch with 3D printed boiler, roof, etc and get the slidebars and cylinders printed in one piece and cast using eg Scale Factor who will work with your stl files. Might you require a gearing system to drive the second wheel on the drive bogie for better traction? Cheers, Ian
