  1. Be glad I didn't add a hundred of them...... there are worse problems in our hobby than an exclamation mark.
  2. Is that a problem if it's exciting to see them being painted?
  3. They're being painted! http://www.Hornby.com/uk-en/news/the-engine-shed/5123/
  4. Latest edition of the engine shed! http://www.Hornby.com/uk-en/news/the-engine-shed/5123/
  5. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the rest....... Looks marvellous.
  6. If it's due for July end then it should be more than half way.......So somewhere on the high seas.
  7. Jeez! People can get ridiculous here.....Full of double standards.

      Metr0Land

Pantomime bookings opened early have they?

  8. is currently designing a 1:450 scale Class 90 electric locomotive. Very much tempted to use the basic CAD model for a 1:120 and 1:87 scale one as well!

  9. The main differences I see are the motors and general size. Though TBH the 90 and 91 should be priced similarly. It may be due to licenses or the fact that two different factories are making them (or possibly three?)
  10. I do that once a week...... Got your back mate!
  11. So any idea which will come first? The TEA tanker or Pendolino?
  12. I'm not sure I'd agree with that. Hornby have make models like "The Duke of Gloucester", Cock O' The North" and the Franco-Crosti 9F. All these were limited time or limited range models. So Hornby has the ability to do these types.
  13. For 4 years I was behind Hornby to re-tool their Class 90. And for 2 years I was behind them to re-tool the Class 59. The old management never listened. However I hope the new management does listen. Though I shudder to think it's too late. Still in terms of AC electrics I think Hornby still has a great chance with the Class 86, Class 87, Class 89 (Railroad maybe?) Class 91 set and the Class 92. Not to mention that Hornby also has a chance to do some nice DEMU's like the Class 110, Class 142 and Class 156.
  14. Indeed you can actually see part of the E.... it has probably suffered some scratch or paint removal. I cannot blame Hornby for this because after much thought I realized that most probably the same tampo print would be used to apply the EAST COAST branding. The DVT body would most likely be flipped to apply on either side. If it seems correct one one or both sides in other pics then it's most probably a paint chip. Probably just another false alarm and no reason really to bring Hornby down over this.
  15. Rails has shown both the left and right hand side. Image 1 is the left hand side which sows EAST COAST and image 2 is the right hand side which also shows EAST COAST. Hattons has shown primarily the left hand side which shows FAST COAST and only one on the right had side and that shows EAST COAST. The image on the Kernow also shows the left hand side and that also shows EAST COAST. http://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/p/51001/R4668-Hornby-Mk4-Driving-Van-Trailer-number-82229-East-Coast. So I think I have a valid point about about Rails posting an image of both sides and Kernow has an image of what apparently is the wrong side but shows the perfectly correct EAST COAST. I am not blamming Hattons but this really seems to be a funny scenario. Could it be that the Mk4 DVT was made in two batches and one had an error? Or was it a simple botch-up?
  16. https://railsofsheffield.com/east-coast-trains-mk4-dvt-82229-r4668-JJJA27302.aspx Seems perfect to me.....
  17. Hi Brian, Has Heljan modified the Class 60 tooling? The grilles on your initial models were sunken in too much. So has the tooling been updated to correct the grilles. Cheers! JBM.
  18. The Cl.66 will be a static model right?
  19. A Class 66... I'd like to see that. Any link?
  20. No photos??? HAAHAHAHAH!!! It's like trying to go train-spotting here in India...you'll find people doing all sorts but taking pictures of a train is illegal and punishable. LOL!!!
  21. Whilst your example states the same situation, the price points are far apart..... So I cannot really connect to that kind of situation. "Model" trains and cars (sorry no). My posts were simple, when Hornby had them people complained, and when the don't have the fans you still hear complaining. Again as I said the term "turning fan" can be taken in many ways, it doesn't say the fans turn because they are driven by a belt connected to the bogie. Turning fan can still mean a fan that freely rotates.
