  1. Breaking News The pub Bingley Arms in the exhibition hall will now be available over the lunchtime
  2. Well I will be off shortly to Bingley Hall this morning with an army of SRC members to prepare the hall for the exhibition over the weekend. Todays task being to mark out the floor plan with all stand numbers, work with the Showground staff to drop all the mains points into the correct locations. Once the floor plan is marked out it will be time to put the tables ordered in the correct positions, leaving ample space for the traders, layouts access with vehicles to unload. The non public catering point to be set with the tea and coffee facilities for all involved at the exhibition over the weekend. Hope to post some pictures later today. The external signage all erected in readiness for all tomorrow As Charlie Bishop often says on his YouTube channel Chadwick Model Railway “What could possibly go wrong” All for now Terry on behalf of the team

  4. Yes a bit of trip, mind you I did Stafford to Glasgow and back in a day for Model Rail Scotland However a single train journey each way and less than £40 return is a bit easier than your trip would be. If you go to Warley in November I will be there with my layout Camel Quay. Come and say hello Terry
  5. I have had a couple of enquiries about a two day ticket for the Stafford Exhibition this coming weekend. If anyone wants details please get in touch either on RMWEB or www.staffordrailwaycircle.org.uk regards Terry Robinson
  6. You could be even more adventurous and come to the Stafford Exhibition this weekend as we rail strike free this weekend and a complementary preserved bus trip from Stafford station to the exhibition. Terry
  7. Stafford Exhibition - Countdown 4 days to go. For anyone who has purchased an advance ticket you can use the ticket either Saturday or Sunday. Terry
  8. Thank you for your support and I look forward to perhaps meeting up with you next weekend.
  9. It’s always sad to loose any exhibition large or small as it’s the lifeblood of model railway clubs throughout the U.K. Personally I enjoy going to exhibitions, as I find them both inspirational and great place to meet like minded people with many of them having become good friends over the years. Sharing a car to travel can of course help towards your traveling costs. And even now with the increased exhibition admission prices I find it’s great value for money for a day out. This weekend I even went along to the 009 50th Anniversary Exhibition at Statfold Barn which was most enjoyable, and I don’t even model in 009 However the modelling of the layouts was to a very high standard and a nice day out. Well let’s hope next weekend at the Stafford Exhibition all the hard work put in by the club members is rewarded with a good attendance and funds to do it all again next year. Time to get back to the modelling bench to sort out that poor running locomotive Terry
  10. Please be aware that there is a 10K road run taking place in the central area of Stafford on the Sunday morning. It would be best to a avoid the town centre, this may effect the courtesy buses on the Sunday Morning Only Terry
  11. Good news in that there is no planned Rail Strike next weekend 23rd & 24th September which means many of our regular visitors will be able to travel by train to Stafford Station. As in previous years a free courtesy preserved bus service will run from outside the railway station to the Exhibition Also new for the 2023 Exhibition is that you are able to buy exhibition advance ticket, the ticket can be used either Saturday or Sunday Details on our website www.staffordrailwaycircle.org.uk/exhibitions where there is a link to purchase an advance ticket. Terry

  19. Thanks for the information I will going along to the 009 50th Anniversary Exhibition in a couple of weeks time to have a good look at 009 and what it could offer. I have previously built both 0.16.5 NG and Gn15 (still have all the Gn15 rolling stock) but never modelled in 009 Would need to sell the Gn15 stock to fund any new project. Did manage to go to the 0 Gauge Guild Exhibition at Stafford today (was tempted by 7mm but no purchases) Terry
  20. I have just heard of the sad news that George Woodcock has passed away. He will be sadly missed not only by his family and close friends, but many modellers and model railway enthusiasts. RIP George Terry
