  1. Please don’t misunderstand - we’d love to do the missing liveries! We just have to be realistic about MoQs so if you want any of the missing liveries please let us know on the form and we’ll get on it! thanks Mike
  2. No, as per the section on missing liveries on our News item: https://revolutiontrains.com/class-175-and-180-in-oo-4mm-available-to-pre-order-now/ We’re asking for no commitment expressions of interest on FNW (175 and 180) and EMR (180) liveries as we’re not sure if they’re viable or not. If enough people let us know through the form on our website we will offer them! cheers Mike
  3. Hi Tom They will be ESU decoders with our custom sounds. Correct one decoder with electrical couplers. best wishes Mike
  4. By the looks of those photos they’re the two Silcock Express versions just heavily weathered. I’m afraid we’ve no plans to offer weathered versions at the moment. cheers Mike
  5. Sorry for the delays on this - as we've explained previously we've been really struggling to to get the PCBs (which is now solved but they are now being fitted). We do send out newsletter emails periodically with product updates but it is always a balance between keeping people up to date and not spamming people (plus of course we can only send newsletters to people signed up for them). On something like this it could be quite tiresome for some people to get regular emails saying something has been delayed, though ultimately it is personal preference as to how often you want to be updated. We try to keep the website as up to date as possible with the latest information from the factories we use so that someone can always see the latest information.
  6. In addition to what Ben said on supply - everyone batch produces. There’s been some Farish or Dapol models that if you didn’t buy right away then there was no guarantee that you’d get it (there were even some where pre-orders couldn’t be satisfied). One of the advantages of batch production that is rarely mentioned is that it has enabled a much wider choice of prototypes to be produced as finite production/development isn’t only tied up to re—running existing models. Of course that means that some “core” models are re-run or not as quickly as some would want. We all have to look for the right balance.
  7. Yes, as per the information in the video - ESU are developing a Loksound version and a Lokpilot (their non-sound decoder range) version - both will be available by the time production of the 59s is complete. It makes no difference to the 128s (which are already in production). We're still planning to use a Next 18 decoder in the 313, but we won't shy away from using a decoder socket with more functionality if it is better for our customers to give more prototypical lighting functions. As explained in the video there were certain combinations of lighting that we just couldn't do with a Next 18 socket, that we can do with the additional functionality of the new Next 28 socket. Here's the video if anyone missed it: Though as Mike B posted earlier there's more detail on our website. Cheers Mike
  8. I think that they’re waiting for a few minor changes before they head out en masse on to the network (April-May time I suspect). Not sure if the changes will be done at Wolverton or if they will be moved first.
  9. There’s no hard deadline but we’ve guaranteed that any orders from our retailers (or direct) by 27 March will be fulfilled as that will help us work out numbers. After that it will depend on whether stocks are available from us or retailers.
  10. Nothing new to report since the Jan update. We always put any new information on the Projects page of our website. As soon as we have a new update we will put it up. Cheers Mike
  11. Fortunately we’re working on a second batch of JNAs/MMAs at the moment - just working on the additional tooling needed to produce some of the newer versions. Will go well with of the newer Cavalex 60s! Sorry for butting in!
  12. For anyone waiting for their order - I know Rails are still going through orders. I think they have about 30% left to process. If you’ve not heard anything from them over the next few days it might be worth contacting them. cheers Mike
  13. Not deliberate - I noticed it on one pack when we were packing orders. Looks like a few got packed incorrectly. IIRC the weight should just clip in place if you take off one of the barrel caps. Please let us know if anything is damaged and we will replace it. Cheers Mike
  14. Hi Jordan Yes, that’s right - retailers should be starting to get their stock mid next week. Cheers Mike
  15. As per my previous post ie if you paid in full then you will get one email saying your order has been despatched but if you paid a deposit and balance you will get two emails (one automatically generated when you pay your balance) but your order is only despatched when the second (ie the balance) order is also marked as despatched. Cheers Mike
  16. I think there is come confusion being caused by our website. As explained at the bottom of the despatch emails - if you paid a deposit and then a balance, then unfortunately the website automatically sends an email when the balance is paid saying the order is complete and despatched. However as explained in our note the order is only physically despatched once the other half of the order ie the balance order(s) is also marked as despatched. We’re still working through sending out Ecofret orders but the RM strikes have made things trickier than normal in terms of both days we can post and increased delivery times. Apologies for any confusion - we’d like our website to work differently but not currently possible. Cheers Mike
  17. We will update the expected arrival date as soon as we get more info from the factory - they are in the final stages of production. They won't be here before the end of 2022 now unfortunately. Sorry! Mike
  18. With the delays to Royal Mail it will be after Christmas. We are sending out pre-orders as quickly as we can and then we will send to retailers. Cheers Mike
  19. Not sure if this link will work but this should show one of the DB Ecofrets when it was fairly new (and it was pretty bright!): https://railmarket.com/eu/profile/vtg-rail-uk-ltd (5th photo down). cheers Mike
  20. Apologies if you got a terse email - as explained in our recent newsletter I was out of action with illness , which has had a knock-on delay to sending out any Ecofrets or balance invoices yet. The balance invoices will start to go out at the end of this week. Best wishes Mike
  21. There was definitely some overlap though the IPAs eventually largely replaced the Cartics. Here's a mixed (empty) car train going North on the WCML through Carlisle with a complete mix of car flats and then some cartic-4s (11:22 is the relevant part if it doesn't link correctly!): I'm sure Brian's (Fat Controller above) info is also right! Cheers Mike
  22. We've been giving people time to fill in the form then we will send them out in a batch (likely to be early next week as we've had to do some maintenance to our website). Cheers Mike
  23. Hi all Thanks for your patience - when we announced the FNA-Ds in February we never anticipated that it would take this long to get the first samples, but we're pleased to announce that the factory has finished the EP samples and that we've opened our order book - you can order direct from us or from any of our retailers all at the same excellent price of £32.95 per wagon (sold in singles). Here are a couple of pictures of the samples - I'm just updating our website with more details: Details of the N gauge version (which is in tooling) will follow over the next week or so. We're very grateful to DRS/NTS who have helped us massively with the development and licensing for this model. Cheers Mike
  24. TUAs already in production from Revolution in OO exclusively available from Rainbow Railways. cheers Mike
