  1. Agree the box marker lenses would look much better opaque.... Should the White Stripes not be continuous under the cab doors with no gaps ?
  2. Car type headlight looks on the large size, is this example pre or post reducing it's size ?
  3. 37260 was repainted into L/L livery prior to being named Radio Highland to mark the introduction of RETB signalling on the highland lines, named at Dingwall station 6/7/84 the first loco to operate RETB.
  4. 37043 would also require the BB cowels removed and the early glass split boxes converted to the later plated over type.
  5. Model Railways Direct are still showing availability on some Accurascale 37's ........
  6. On the A/S Facebook page with 37026 showing the stay alive feature, anyone else think the roof engine access panel hinges/handles are a bit too pronounced/high ?
  7. L/L 37027 may be one suitable choice to renumber 37043 to, apart from perhaps the riveted roof, not sure if both are single or double riveted ? and just how noticeable this would be anyway.... L/L 37026 also, but it had a Black roof, unsure if it was light Grey earlier ? same applies 're the roof rivets. L/L 37012 another possible choice, it had a light Grey roof to start with but was changed to Black later. same applies 're the roof rivets. HTH Perhaps A/S could list which locos had single or double riveted rooves ?
  8. If you can source one, the size you require is on the Howes INTERCITY sheet along with suitable black No's.
  9. Think they also had overhangs/porches above the cab doors and rather flat profiled cantrail grilles.....?
  10. It should be possible, the motor could be left fitted but not connected to the board/decoder. Remove the drive shafts, so basically it's a dummy with decoder/lights. The decoder may require the motor connected to program it, and then disconnect it.
  11. IIRC one of the very first Bachmann 37's was BCC D6607/37403 Ben Cruachan in BR Green, the 37/0's with buffer shrouds then followed ?
  12. Shawplan supplies 37/40 split box plated etches
  13. Would agree, the new Bach has the front cab window shape/size much better, the glazing rubbers being on the body also help. The factory prism glazing rather spoils it all, .....Laserglaze would finish it off very nicely !
  14. Happy to be corrected, but think it's the 5th version/revision since first introduced.
  15. Although it is possible the flywheels/motor may be slightly smaller than the earlier versions, due to the redesigned chassis changes, as was the case with the very latest revised Bachmann Class 24/25....
  16. Don't think this has been mentioned already, noticed that the new 37/4 tooling includes the small pairs of drainage holes ?? at the bottom edges of the cantrail grilles, a nice attention to detail.
  17. Don't think anyone would dispute that A/S really delivered with their Deltic, sold out on pre orders/unseen. No reason to think that their 37 won't be just as good, again being almost sold out on pre-orders. Personally I think Bachmann let the ball drop with their new 37/4 by continuing to use separate nose ends instead of a one piece body especially at the high RRP's. Everyone has choices, but it's always good to laugh regardless !
  18. Too be sure even more may become available, as some Bachmann fans may cancel and go for more expensive versions....but each to their own ! LOL....
  19. No 37/4's received Swallow livery, although 37/0 and 37/5's did
  20. Agree and It wouldn't even be necessary had Bachmann chosen a different number instead of duplicating an existing model..strange decision.....
  21. 081 was also an RSH build with the extra cantrail support strips Strange decision to duplicate L/L 043 ?
  22. The latest Bachmann 37 appears to be an improvement over the existing model, however I think it was an oversight to continue using separate nose ends, this being most noticeable on L/L liveries. The one piece body/noses A/S versions being a better more convincing solution.
  23. To prevent very slow speed jerking with the Deltic, set starting voltage CV2 to 3 (default is 1) it will then move off smoothly using SS 1 of 128 It will also help if the model has been well run-in beforehand
  24. It's likely if headlights are fitted, they will be on the same circuit as the markers, so will also be dimmed, unless they are on a separate switched function key to the markers.
  25. Auto on/off of the cab/control panel lights with movement was part of the original A/S lighting spec.....but can be added with a Lokprogrammer etc.....
