  1. Is there any space inside the body above the driving wheels to fit some extra weight. Liquid lead for example. A white metal/pewter crew would help a little. All the best Ray
  2. Perhaps that might provide some more slight livery options for KR even if only produced in small quantities.
  3. Hi James. Did you get down to Eridge on Saturday ? We were exhibiting in the waiting room and had our sales stand out on the platform. We were hoping to have a chat with you about your show. Look forward to hearing from you. All the best Ray
  4. We were exhibiting at Eridge and I did not get a chance to go down to Tunbridge Wells. I hear the shed there was pretty crammed with visitors, especially on the Saturday. They obviously did not all come down to us on the train, but we got a fairly good attendance. All the best Ray
  5. That should be fairly easy to correct. Again, this can be amended at the production stage. Hopefully, they will get it right !
  6. Having watched the full video and at some of the previous pictures. The mechanical details, weighting and performance look impressive. It looks like they have reduced the size of the fireman's window which is hopefully now correct. The rivets do not appear to have been apparent in the previous pictures, so a new addition ? Mind you, if they were countersunk, they would not really have been visible. The overall appearance is good. I look forward to receiving my pre-ordered one. Ray
  7. I bet the fireman wore a truss with coal lumps that big !
  8. Bit too far for us to visit, but one of our former members lives up there. I will let him know about it. All the best Ray
  9. Used on semi-fasts, but only five built. How about the LBSCR D1 tank. The terriers larger 0-4-2 cousin. A fair number built and they all originally had names. Go well with the six wheeled coaches from Hornby and Hattons.
  10. Hi Colin. Pleased to see that you are still keeping active. I would be interested in that article to perhaps research a small PLA layout. All the best Ray
  11. I assume that this local station wont be an exhibition layout ? All the best Ray
  12. Got my subscription copy the week before last which was correct. The publication date was 31st August. Next issue due 28th September. The publication is every four weeks and there were five Thursdays in August, so two issues that month. All the best Ray
  13. Hi Roythebus. I think that Comet are still trading. Branchlines are still trading, but have not had a website since the current owner took over. Look for their advert in the magazines and give them a call. They do all the valve gear rivets etc. If Kemilway/Peter K did do a chassis, I believe that they are in the throws of winding up the business. I think that the owner has retired and the website may have been taken down now. I hope that this helps. All the best Ray
  14. I still have a few of the new ones recorded waiting to be watched, as they went out on a Tuesday night which is our club night.
  15. Looking good. Have you been test running ? I only ask that as I note that you have a number of three way points in the fiddle yard and some locos get a bit tetchy on the curved roads out of them. All the best Ray
  16. Who does the 3D printed Daleks ? Could do with a K9 and some Cybermen as well. Thanks Ray
  17. Another month goes by and still no sign or mention of these buses. Still shown as Summer 2023 release on their website. When does their Summer run out ?
  18. Hi Chatham MRC. Sent you a PM from Southwark and Dist. MRC for our possible exhibit. All the best Ray
  19. Hi Tim. Sent you a PM with information you might be interested in. All the best Ray
  20. Hi Coline. Very interesting. More photos would be useful. Keep up the good work. All the best Ray
  21. I remember seeing an article about the visit of this locomotive from the South London Press (I think), in the Southwark Local Archives. All the best Ray
