  1. Hey, Bachmann, if the Grainflows are too expensive to assemble and be viable for you; how about doing them CKD-style for those of us happy to assemble them ourselves?

  2. Ah, there’s nothing like a bit of modelling to spoil yer mood... <_<

Stuff it I’m away for some beer.

I realised years ago that in my hands an airbrush is simply an expensive tool used to ruin a good model.  Latest episode was last Wednesday.  Still havent recovered from the trauma.

I was modelling out in the sunshine today and dropped a brass ladder which I was attemptint to glue to a tank wagon.    Hunted for it for a long time and eventually gave up.  Found it much later superglued to the underside of my shoe!

If you can keep many projects on the go when those around have only one, If you can lose tiny parts as easy as pie ......then you are a modeller, my son.

The best sounding loco on BR metals at the mo, but for me nothing beats a Peak at full blast! (Though a 50 and 40 come close).

Irish GM powered locos have had that distinctive aircraft high pitch whine and notching sounds since 1962. Not unlike the 24yo GM 201 class.

  20. Given the work required to make a Heljan 14 usable on DCC, I consider this model not of merchantable quality.

what's the problem, you just need a small decoder. I fitted DCC sound in mine, albeit in the cab LOL

    4. highpeakman

      highpeakman

Mine has never run smoothly either but, in my case, it's not a DCC issue. Seems to be a wheel contact/pick up problem. In spite of new wheelset and pick ups it's never been right.
