  1. Just ruminating, but would knocking out the gears to the 1st and second axles on a DJM Austerity remove the cogging issue by letting one axle and the rods do all the work?

@skipepsi They run fine with no motor or worm attached. It’s not the rods, it’s backlash within the gear train when the motor and worm are in position. EFE have changed the motor which may have resolved the issue with the new releases.

PMP.  I used a Mashima 1628 (discontinued long before Mashima ceased trading) and a gearbox that High Level designed specifically to go with that motor but was very similar in appearance to a Roadrunner+.

So helical gear set maybe the answer?

  2. Don't like when people do unwarranted public hatchet jobs on decent traders in places like this.

Sadly I resort to Ebay but for selling wait for a deal such as 50% of final fee or £1 final fee but Paypal still rob you. I sold summat for £235 recently and the £1 fee saved me £22.50.

I have worked for a couple of bus firms here in West Yorks. The vehicles are lovely to drive these days. However, fares, keeping to schedule, traffic jams and moaning passengers often make it a stressful job. The country area routes are pleasant and relaxed in summer, but can be awkward in winter months.

    4. 60159

Must be a lot worse than bus driving and public are "entertaining". As a guard (and ticket checker) on the B&KR I have great fun with public but then we don't do last train late at night after pubs spit them out.
