  1. Sent you a pmail. Regards, Rich
  2. They sure do, also the discolouration on the rods and waggly bits. Inside the cab is a transfer saying it's a 501 type. I'm no expert on Hornby 0 gauge but I do own the ''Bible'' on the system by C and J Graebe. A quick look on page 119 reveals that Hornby called this clockwork version 501 ''after the war'' also it wasn't in the catalogue until September 1948. Not 1928 as claimed then is it. Just saying like. Regards Rich.
  3. Here's a couple of bargains for any Triang fans looking for spare Brake Van Bodies. Item 1. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/276390468755 Item 2. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/276390468712 TBH the Triang shorty body does look cute fixed on top of an old HD SWB wagon chassis and painted up in NCB livery. Seller asking just under £11 each inc P&P. Mine cost 10p each table top sale. Time for my medication. Cheers again. Rich
  4. Same seller has these listed https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/305368732526?itmmeta=01HT5PY9D483F752B0DC0FS1T4&hash=item471965136e:g:3W8AAOSw-BllsRbB We all may know that good quality Wrenn material has some serious collectors prepared to pay good money. However-------The AI blah blah for this lot says '' have been professionally upgraded with rare and expertly detailed features such as very precise and detailed rusting over the carrigies to give them a more authentic and real look'' Apart from the ''El Diablo'' AI machine apparently having trouble with the spelling of carriages I think ''carelessly devalued '' is a more fitting description. Some on here may remember my tale of my old friend who made his living buying selling vintage 45 and 78 rpm vinyl and shellac blues, jazz and soul records. His grading system was pretty normal Mint, Ex, Vg Poor etc. His unique bottom grade was POBAC. (previously owned by a cretin) Nuff said. Cheers, Rich
  5. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/296322575281 Whilst I'm here I'd just like to share this with you. A rare opportunity to purchase a much sought after model of the elusive LMS N2 0-6-2. ''Stunning detail'' ---- evidently. (Not really) a bargain at £60. PS seller has lots more like this. Cheers, Rich
  6. Yes Indeed!. I have a vague memory of having a set of these when I was aged 5 or 6. Even at that age I thought they looked weird. Having consulted with my 93 year old mother she reckons I got into bother when I buried them in the back garden.! Cheers, Rich
  7. Hi @SR71 Lovely neat pickup there. Is it for your 4-4-2T project? May I ask what you used for the domes at each end.? They seem to be a bit smaller and neater than the drawing pins I use. Thanks, Regards, Rich.
  8. It might end up for sale again by friend Gostude, only with a 1 in front of what you got.😉 Joking apart. It's a long time since I sold on ebay, 9 or 10 years. A couple of buyers really put me off selling again. Worst was a French bloke. I'd estimated the postage and unintentionally overcharged him. Without being asked, I refunded him a few quid postage as soon as I got back from the PO and dropped him a message to say so (in English). My reward for my honesty was a big red one coupled with a verbal blasting (in perfect English) saying I had demanded extra postage!! Deffo the wrong end of the stick I think. Hope this works out OK for you Captain, Regards, Rich
  9. Your right there. Certainly would need the grandbairns stood at the corners as 'catchers' ☺️ Cheers, Rich
  10. I've noticed that spare tenders for the old Dublo A4s ( and other locos) are sometimes fetching what can only be called bonkers prices. I suspect that this creation was born from desperation. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/305435066509?
  11. Hi, sorry but I don't have a drawing and all my C20s are Dublo 3R, but there are a couple of YT vids that may be of help. This first one cover the C20 at about 12 mins in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2jpmQPOkq4 This 2nd one covers the Brighton Belle which used a similar motor/chassis. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BLS_lj22Jg&t=487s Hope these may be of help, Regards, Rich
  12. Hi Captain. I'm pretty sure I've a couple of those with the ''green'' looking plastic. I'd always put it down to grubby fingers but having seen yours now I'm not so sure. When I get a minute I'll dig them out. Looking closely at your picture the 'slot in' cabin door/ends seem to be in the lighter grey material or is it my ageing eyesight playing tricks? Regards, Rich
  13. Had me beat too. Intrigued I did a quick google and found that Our Late Majesty first met Phil in 1934. She was 8 he was 13. Didn't look any further. Cheers, Rich
  14. I will struggle to sleep tonight having seen those 😂 PS Did you manage to find a front pony and tender draw bar for your 8f? Cheers, Rich
  15. https://www.davidduggleby.com/auctions/23092021948/0/4203/4203.aspx Whoops. I forgot to add this link last night. September 2021 a large collection was auctioned off in Scarborough. A fab boxed, complete,48094 8f with all the trimmings went for £200 plus 20% commission. UK P&P £28.98 plus £10.08 per additional lot. !!!!!! Regards, Rich.
