  1. Good to see that Hornby are listening to potential purchasers and are working on a remedy. Well done!
  2. A heritage Class 47 in two tone BR green and a TOPS blue version complete with headlight.
  3. New staff possibly? Seems somewhat strange as the Caprotti 5 was announced at the same time as the other three BF locos.
  4. Still shown as a web exclusive on the Hornby website and available to order :- https://uk.Hornby.com/products/br-stanier-5mt-black-5-caprotti-4-6-0-44755-era-4-web-exclusive-r30227
  5. Great minds think alike. I've ordered all of the above + the VXC Deltic Royal Scots Grey in BR Green. Enjoy!
  6. Some Hornby recent release bargains including the Turbomotive and 9F:- https://www.jadlamracingmodels.com/railways/clearance-1?utm_campaign=Rail - 22.10.23 (01HD6FZK1H31CYAN04EN2E51AG)&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Railways - ALL&_kx=YblctUFF5mVg9m41vVTst_y2OymfjkF8P7yeZUKEh54%3D.Wn7bvw
  7. Just a quick question for you please re the next release Deltics. Will they feature the updated bogie chains? TIA.
  8. Maybe the choice of a 66 offering was due to taking on the former Hattons offering, with the intention of adding a few tweaks? Purchasing the tooling makes good business/economic sense It was already an excellent model, I'm pretty sure Accurascale will deal with the original issues before the model is re released. Excellent news that you're on project team and are providing feed back to KR models. I've recently purchased the Bachmann D213 Andania and can conclude that it's a fine model. An Accurascale 40 will most likely follow at some stage, fingers crossed!
  9. Why exactly would Accurascale tell all and sundry what their future plans/release schedule as it doesn't make good business sense? The Rails V Hornby Terrier duplication immediately springs to mind! Additionally, even if a particular model has been done or is indeed current with another manufacturer, does it really matter? From what I've seen so far, Accurascale have an excellent business acumen and I'm pretty certain they wouldn't produce a particular model if it wasn't going to sell.
  10. With the GETS and Warley getting closer, I'm sure the good people at Accurascale will have an announcement or two up their sleeves for us all! 👍👍
  11. I stand corrected on the location. Strongarm Red has been brewed since 1955 at the Lion Brewery according to the official website. Nice beer! 🍻🍻
  12. I've got a feeling that Accurascale will wait to see how the KR 40 pans out before making a decision on whether to produce one. No doubt they've already done the measurements. Additionally, Bachmann might retool their current offering as they've already done with the 24, 25, 37 and 47.
  13. Cameron's Strongarm is my tipple for this evening. A very tasty red ale from Middlesbrough, coming in at a not too unreasonable 4.3% ABV. Recommended!
  14. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Class 40 is on Accurascales "To Do" list some time in the future. Having seen the recently released 40 mock up from KR models, I'm not convinced by this, although TBF they're pre production photographs.
  15. I did read a modelling article some time ago that the oval buffers as fitted on the Hornby Class 50 were an easy/cost effective replacement for the Bachmann Class 40.
  16. Does anyone have pictures of D213 per chance? TIA!
  17. Indeed John, my thoughts exactly. I'm now rather glad that I bought the Bachmann 45t crane with 50% off from TMC earlier in the year.
  18. Yes, and still waiting for a response from both OR and Hornby.
  19. IMHO, The Hornby rebuilt WC and BOB class certainly hold their own in the current market. The airsmooth version on the other hand could do I with a revamp to modern day standards. I've got a feeling we'll see a new Rebuilt MN before either of the above!
  20. I can see 71000 being a (newly tooled) HD limited edition at some time in the future.
