  1. Thanks for that, but it's a pre-order if you look closely.
  2. Morning all, Does anyone have for sale a gear drive for an A4 please? Failing that, a component that will fit the above. Many thanks
  3. Submit a counter claim, which the County Court are legally obliged to furnish his details in full including an address for process service.
  4. Model Junction of Bury St Edmunds have some selective Accurascale Class 92 locos in their bargain bin for £149.95. These include EWS, DB and Caledonian sleeper liveries. These are not advertised on the MJ website. As an added bonus, p+p is free If you spend over £60!
  5. What he is doing whether pathetic or not falls within the territory of the Fraud Act - Fraud by Misrepresentation. It is entirely immaterial whether the victim is a large conglomerate or a private individual, it is still an offence Involving dishonestly. Just like shoplifting is wrongly described as a "Victimless Crime" it isn't as the costs are passed on to the consumer. You can bet your life that this is passed on to PayPal and eBay sellers.
  6. "This doesn't really come across as an organised heist, more someone who is living in a fantasy world" Sorry, but his actions are plain and simple fraudulent. Advertising goods, taking the money with no intention of fulfilling the sale is dishonest however you dress it up. According to Trading Standards Devon and Cornwall, Cann has pulled this scam on quite a few occasions. As for the reviews on eBay, I'd be very suspicious of a trader who amassed in excess of 2800 positive reviews, when he'd only been trading for a period of 3 months.
  7. Any idea of what items are specifically excluded from the purchase protection?
  8. I really can't understand how Cann continues to get away with this type of behaviour, which to all intensive purposes is fraud by misrepresentation. I'm aware Devon Trading Standards and D+C Police were looking at him, however little seems to have happened to stop him in his tracks.
  9. Apologies, I misread the posting and was actually referring to the attached eBay A4 by sjp23480. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225432147979?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=1xBOkZs0Q3u&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=saSnTyIOQLy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Sorry for any confusion.
  10. Having looked at the Jenny, the pictures appear to be of a Bachmann product rather than one produced by Hornby. Beware!
  11. Odds on a Southern or LMS loco for the next announcement as we've already had a Manor and Backjumper announced from Accurascale. A Stanier 8F or a Airsmooth Bulleid West Country/Battle of Britain would do very nicely!
  12. So I don't think there is an imminent Accurascale one, I bet it's the class 20 next on their radar. Bachmann have recently retooled the Class 20 and I doubt very much that this could be improved on. It's a fine model In all respects!
  13. You could try Albert Goodall - RT models who sell specific aftermarket parts for Merchant Navies and Light Pacifics. https://www.rtmodels.co.uk/
  14. An excellent presentation, many thanks. I'm really looking forward to my BR Green twin headbox 6704 turning up!
  15. It's never been the same since Paul Isles left for Accurascale!
  16. The latest edition of Engine Shed has been posted on the Hornby website. Features this month include updates and painted samples on the forthcoming TTA tank wagon, newly arrived HD models in the form of Merchant Navy Lamport and Holt Line and the A4 Gannet. https://uk.Hornby.com/community/blog-and-news/engine-shed/come-oil-ye-faithful
  17. Oh I don't know, they've actually been pretty good over the years. An example of this being the mazak rot on the 31's. They were still offering a new chassis, or if the rot was terminal, a £100 Hornby voucher for old models for what seemed an enternity!
  18. Think MC C said noon today for the announcement!
  19. Just received my SNG this afternoon and Wow what a model! Runs smoothly straight out of the box, no damage, flaws in the paint work or bits falling off. Additionally, the packaging is so much better than before. I must say I approve of the BR Brunswick green, new close coupled tender drawbar, flickering firebox and the painted crew in the accessory pack. I can now confidently look forward to Union of SA and Dwight D Eisenhower arriving. Well done Hornby on a marvelous model, please keep it up!
  20. But the 8F will sell unlike some obscure loco from the past. The re-released Hornby item is well past its sell by date mechanically and detail wise. Additionally, so many variations, not forgetting those that went overseas as WD stock!
  21. If it's an LMS loco, one that's sure to fly of the shelves is a Stanier 8F!
