  1. Sam's Trains supporter no doubt? Actually I think that looks brilliant. Typical of one of the latest Franchisee Livery 'wraps' . A canny sort of effort as my Jordy Gran would have said. Personally I think it's Spam and should be reported. K boom tish. P
  2. Smart thanks Robin. That looks proper job distance thank you. Extra Close required in a certain Defence line up at the moment....arrrgggh. All the best for the weekend all. Phil in (for once) sunny 36E; not York, as I'm too old. P
  3. Thanks Chris. What a cunning way to link! Lovely quality set of pIcs and especially so, as I can't attend. Phil
  4. Lovely Ian. Worsley etches are really good quality...well the ones I've had have been. Sometimes with Ends and a Floor/Part U.F. Your additional parts are superb here and cunning use of Comet Bogies. Phil
  5. Tony and Co. I'm sure you are aware of this Engine's latest status? Not my photo; few more elsewhere on a Thread in 'Preservation'. It sounds magnificent. Phil
  6. I believe it's Air Braked Stock of course. Someone mentioned first AB Stock hauled by an A2 and 'even' Peter? Phil
  7. Blue Peter is back in Steam and running beautifully. It deserves a Badge.

Well, it is BLUE Peter after all...

In case it needs dismantling that is, of course, just a protective paint coat.

It sounds absolutely amazing...never heard it before...and it went through Seaton Junction in 1966...but konked out halfway up Honiton Incline.

Badge awarding depends on the quantity of cereal boxes and sticky backed plastic used to build it! But there is definitely a goodly quantity of blue poster paint on it....

  8. Haven't seen anything else on here so I announce that 60532 has been doing Full Load Trials somewhere and is looking and sounding magnificent. I've not knowingly heard an A2 exhaust before and it's superb. Phil
  9. Both really good looking builds Richard. Thanks for the pics. Have fun with the Layout now that the weather is warming up. ATB Phil
  10. Apologies but I seem to remember Rob showing his Bananas fitted with Hunts. I can't find that so may have imagined it? Which Hunts did you use Rob if you did and could you link to your pics please? As on several other Van/Wagon Rakes I've sorted, I shall probably use Hunts on my Bananas, but probably with the existing Couplings at the outer ends of the Rake. I can tolerate a bit of a gap behind the Tender but NOT between the Vans/Wagons. Many thanks all and have a restful/celebration Holiday. Phil
  11. I may have missed this? Hunt Couplings for these. Buffers with only a couple of mm gap; anyone got the type they used for this please? Phil
  12. I made one up, however there were Prototype examples. It's just I've not got any Pics to help. BR SR WOEML early 60s, West of Salisbury and East of Exeter. Racehorses and Staff. A Rake of Mk1 Horse Boxes (Flexible number) I got most of at Auction at a VERY good Price...including TMC Weathered versions and a couple of Bulleids (BSK and SO usually). That could probably be adapted to Cavalry, just for fun. Phil
  13. Richard. Doubt I'll be at York for usual crock reasons. Apologies. Could you possibly pass on the Beast to Steve operating on Grantham the Streamliner Years or Clive on something somewhere (could be DEMU?) If not this is no problem of course. Phil
  14. That is wonderful Graham (and Co). Thank you. Looks like a really good time of year to go with fewer folk swarming around? The Towns look wonderful; I shall show my Son and his German partner, at the weekend. Her Stepfather has had a lot of experience with the German Railways in that he has always worked for the sort of ACAS they have in Germany. He would love this sort of excursion I'm sure. Have a great York. Phil
  15. Did anyone witness the Castle and Hall at the K & WVR Gala? Did a few looks at the Web Cams. Some excellent runs and sounds. There was also a do at the West Somerset so spoilt for choice? P
  16. Should have said what a great attitude to an 'inherited' item. I now know that the several G#R 4.6.0s I have ready for you will be well loved and employed (🤐) I. D. Jut
  17. Hockey or Rugby Special Steve. Crewe failed to return the 5 and used it on this going South to complete Run In after a minor Repair. Simples as 5s were universal Engines. So easy to Drive and Fire that POrters could do it...but the Injectors needed a big 'ammer occasionally. No nonsense footy matches required. Ar$£
  18. Aged Footy nerd says FGR wern't even invented in the late 50s early 60s. Created by the amazing Dale Vince I believe he's called. Quite a character. Hippy but makes Diamonds and is strictly Vegan; sometimes all at the same time as well. Philth
  19. Excuse late response. I have been regenerating. Don't worry about the Beast but I might just make the York show and see if Steve is going too. Thanks R. P
