  1. In the box there are fixed bar couplings or magnetic couplings to fit into the NEM pocket, but no buffers :( Even if you could get some, there is no hole to slot them into.
  2. The ex-Greater Anglia / Locomotive Services MK3s have started arriving. They are HST coaches, not MK3s. No buffers.
  3. I can confirm that I pre-ordered all the RCS coaches and was charged £4.98 postage on each coach, all processed as a separate order.
  4. Yes, it's all off now - thanks I think you're thinking of the white with blue or red doors livery (as on the Hornby 153?) - I'm intending to model the transition where they simply put a white stripe down the side of the former ONE livery. I'll attach a photo.
  5. Hi all, Not a modelling person - but trying to change a "ONE" livery 156 into the "White Stripe" livery used by NXEA and GA. I've used advice found in other threads of this forum and have taken off almost everything that I need to remove using T Cut and cotton wool buds / cocktail sticks - except the pink stripe, as seen in the attached photos. Does anyone have any ideas?
  6. Mine arrived today with two buffers snapped off, one hose not attached at one end, one hose with a large chip of paint missing and at least two of the red handles snapped off.
  7. TfL staff discount on models was 10% when I brought an S stock... Still better than nothing on already expensive models though.
  8. Well this is amusing... Gave mine a test run last night finally, and it doesn't work with (scale) third/fourth rail, as the the detail on the bogies foul the positive rail.
  9. I've had a closer look and it is secure - just the same person who put the nameplates put the hand rail on when he was slightly tipsy ! Can confirm all wheel pick up, will take a photo for you in a bit unless someone else beats me to it.
  10. I hope they include the red lights on Sarah, as it is supposed to be modelled as it is today. I also wish more places would start putting the tail lights on a separate function, as not everyone constantly runs trains light loco, but that's a whole different topic...
  11. I'll have a proper look tomorrow morning- I've not got the model with me at the moment. I've also noticed that Hattons have the next two to arrive listed on their website with delivery expected soon!
  12. I got mine yesterday from Hattons, but can't help but notice that the name plate on both sides are not on straight, and it's pretty noticeable, even when it was in the box. What do people think? Is it worth returning it or am I complaining about nothing?
  13. People who have added lights, I rather crudely added some to mine, but have found I had to remove the weight at the bottom to be able to get the interior back on without fouling the wires. I've also had a problem where the bogies are slightly stiffer and with the lighter load is prone to derailing. Anyone have any ideas for a solution?
