Work has turned to plasterboarding the walls and ceiling.

The loft is progressing well with plasterboard installed to 1/2 of the room. I've been running in 87001 Royal Scot/Stephenson on the rolling road see photo.

Lighting and socket installed. Thermal wrap to one side of loft now completed. 

An afternoon spent installing the ceiling joists and patrass along with fitting 2 x 1500mm led lights. Hopefully the electrician can make it on Monday.

Loft sub frame and flooring completed today by UK Loft Boarding. I've started installing batterns to lower the ceiling to 2.46m and installed paterrases for the led strip lights. Tomorrow is to carry on with the ceiling batterns and install the strip lights ready for the 2nd fix electrician. 

Update February 2021

Loft floor confirmed for instalation 5/2/21. Loft now cleared of all items ready  for Friday. 2nd to be booked in week commencing 8/2/21 fix for electrician to install 2 x 1200mm led strip lights. 3 X 1 timber to be ordered for open frame work along with 2 x 2 timber for support legs. 

After inactivity for 8 years i have moved house and decided to build a new DCC equipped  WCML  based layout in the loft. Due to Covid-19 I can only have the floor installed at the beginning of February 2021. I have reclaimed a large part of track, points and scenic items from my previous layout Boston Junction. The space available to me will be 18ft x 11ft. At present everything is on hold so have bought 1 new loco which is a Hornby Class 87 87001 and the Metcalfe brick viaduct to compliment my own Bachmann 4 car Virgin voyager, Bachmann Freightliner class 66   66952 and Hornby Virgin Trains HST (Railroad version) with  2 Hornby Mk3 Tso. I sold all my other stock from Boston Junction as I thought that I would not have the opportunity to have a layout again.
