Hi Nick thanks for your through's about the exchange sidings.My thoughts are the Welsh valleys as i live in South Wales and from photos i have seen some of the sidings are away from the colliery and can by just a run round loop with a few sidings which from a cost point of view is good as ive got a oo gauge lay out as well!Martin

looking to build small colliery exchange sidings in n gauge mid/late 60s so i can run steam and diesel locos and 16/20 ton and brake vans any ideas where i can get photos track plans etc i have started to look on line.thank Martin

15ft x 6ft internal door at end started as 10x6 shed which i am adding 5 or 6 feet to in length widith stays at 6ft iam looking at some kind of exchange sidings in the steel supply world ive got a set of sides in a steel works built and working well time period EWS thanks martin

Morning all ive got another 5ft in length to play with width stays at 6ft the shed is now 16ft long at the moment the end to end steel works rolled coil slabs etc to sidings,EWS to DB Schenker time frame in south Wales ,dcc control.i would like to have single main line in a loop past the sidings with some from of exchange sides into the steel products warehousing with its own shunters ive got some throughts in my head any ideals or leads to photos would be a great help thanks all.

Hi all after enforced break of 2 months got back to shed today all dcc locos some with sound prodigy express control working but for Hornby class 08 with sound fitted before break worked fine now nothing no smell no noise any thoughts please

when wiring point together tor end to v rail do i use platic rail joiners on vee rail or leave point running into dead end sidings and should i use juicers thanks
