  1. My Paypal account was charged the balance due for my J50 order on Friday, so I guess they are getting nearer to being delivered. I am really looking forward to this loco: the samples look great.
  2. photos of the LNER lined black version now on the TMC Website too. The red LNER lining suits these locos very well. Restrained and stylish.
  3. Looking very good indeed. Will be even better with a bit of weathering.
  4. Amazing! My all-time favourite loco. A moment of true Geordie pride.
  5. This looks as if it will be a superb model. I've just placed an order for 67263. This was allocated to the Durham / Sunderland area for much of the 1940s and 1950s, and was one of the locos shedded at Durham for a while. There's a fine Ron Buckley photograph of her at Gateshead in 1952 in immaculate condition after a repaint, but mine will be rather dirtier.
  6. A lovely idea, beautifully executed. Almost brought a lump to my throat...

    Q6

I've recently received the Q6 I ordered from The Model Centre, with their heavy weathering. They've done a fantastic job, and I am delighted with the subtlety of the weathering. I've been playing around with the camera on my ipad, which allows the lens to be put very close to the ground, trying to catch a lineside shot of 63443 idling in summer sunshine.
  9. Thanks, Coronach, for this tip-off. I'd been looking for digital versions of the Transacord recordings a couple of years ago, and had heard they might soon appear. Time for a real nostalgia fest, I think.
  10. Looks good. I'm looking forward to my Backworth one in due course.
