  1. Looking great, can't believe how fast it's coming together!
  2. There's one crossing the Tees between Barford and Gainford in co. Durham. It's blocked off now after one of the piers collapsed a little while ago. -it carried road traffic.
  3. Lovely coach. Always loved NER lake livery. Much nicer than midland Crimson lake
  4. Would love to see a J21, J26/7, G5 and the A5 and 3mt 2-6-0 mentioned above. Would set a NE region modeller up for life! Also a 20T P7 hopper wagon and a V1 brakevan would be great too. Not asking for much
  5. That's in Barnard Castle opposite Glaxo-Smithkline there's a few similar cottages in the area. One at Carlbury crossing and one opposite Winston station house. Missing its plaque.
  6. Theres a couple of pictures here of the forcett viaduct http://www.thehistoryofgainford.com/page7.htm 1st and last images in the gallery. Lovely modelling too by the way. Looks incredible
  7. Edwardian unfortunately St Peters was badly damaged in an arson attack a few weeks back. It was due to be converted to flats. The forcett viaduct was completely demolished in the late 70s or early 80s even the abutments were removed! (The one visible from the A67 is the east tees viaduct with a matching west tees viaduct further upstream.) The embankment leading up to it is still there with a neat cattle creep which now provides access to the teesdale way from gainford. Opposite st peters is the entrance to the old section of the A67 that leads to some cottages known as forcett cottages that were railway owned and from there is a public footpath that follows the course of the line back to forcett junction.
  8. Great prototype, it's a really evocative place and will be really interesting to operate with the change from double track to single working. The viaducts at Belah and Deepdale kept the train sizes down too. If you've not already found this site it's got a great overview of the stock that worked over the line over the years (www.stainmore150.co.uk). I've been musing over building a model of somewhere on the Stainmore line as well for a few months now as it's such a great prototype. Good luck and I'll be following your progress eagerly.
