About Me

I've been modeling railways since I was a kid with a Lionel layout. As an exchange student in England in 1964, I picked up my first N scale (Lone Star) British set and have been in N scale ever since, both as a modeller and a manufacturer. I've been active in developing the modular layout concept since the 1970s with NTRAK, and with the Interail system which I designed. I also am the founder of AsiaNRail, an N scale modular group building Asian prototype modules on the Interail system, which we have displayed at exhibitions here since the 1990s.

The attached photo of a pair of AsiaNRail Interail modules shows a truly international scene that exemplifies my international approach. While the trackplan is of the west side of Kyle of Lochalsh, Scotland, the container train, coastal ship and structures represent Taiwan.
