Well, unfortunately I have to report that the powers that be found there would not be enough traffic on this line, and as such, the right-of-way and surrounding property is being sold off. Many things have changed over the past couple of years for me personally, and sadly Eastoke no longer has a place in my life. I still love the SR and BR, but for now they will entertain me through books and images with what little time I have. If you are reading this and live in Ontario, Canada, and want a layout with many extra supplies to work on, do let me know. We can work something out. Email: igogoniantcrist@gmail.com Adieu to the sunny south! Will

West Riding Terminus- Halifax Powell Street

I think you can send in submissions for layout articles to Railway Modeller......you obviously have many cracking photos, Pete! Anyhow, it's been a super model. -
The flow of the point-and-track work looks grand! I was going to mention the very small funny double reverse curve by platform three, but you beat me to it. Hardly noticeable unless you put your eye where the camera was. All the best, Will

Perhaps it might be possible to have the new extension/layout mate with the Paybury fiddle yard so you can have a choice of layouts to use? Will -

Pete, Many congratulations on the new little one, and likewise commiserations on the upcoming closure of the line. As someone mentioned, it really is one of the best layout on RM Web, and I consider myself privileged to have been around almost since it began. Perhaps we might see it in a publication someday? Cheers, Will -
Will, I've been following somewhat in the shadows, but the scenery is coming along nicely for sure. And that tractor with the Large Logo livery looks very delicious. A 37 in that scheme has always been my favourite. Cheers, Will(the other one)

The viaduct does look excellent! But it should be a Britannia with Mk1's on the top...... -
CLC/GC and LNWR Exchange "Minories"-style Layout

At the risk of taking over this thread, that's exactly what it is. My own thread has more details. Cheers! -

This looks like an excellent little plan. I'm trying something similar-like on my newish BR(SR) project. Go for it! Cheers, Will -

And I was going to say that the new backscene really holds everything together. Looks grand! -

This looks terrific! It reminds me, in terms of scenic colouring, of the Chillingworth model railway which was in Hornby Mag some years ago now. Really nicely done! Perhaps a curved piece of black card to form a few inches of tunnel walling would help disguise the abrupt stop of the scene. Cheers, Will -
Nice work! I like being able to switch 'types' of layout with a few well planned swaps of infrastructure. I'm still working on a new signal box for my 'Bishopdale' layout to be able to swap between LMR and BR(SR).

As yet unnamed layout - 00 Wagon Works and Inglenook

A trick I tried on my layout when soldering droppers to the track was to cut away one or two sleepers, solder the wire in the empty space, and then insert two new sleepers with the chairs cut off flush with the top of the sleeper. Then you don't have to worry about melted sleepers and can make sure the iron is nice and hot for a quick, solid joint of wire and rail. -

That looks simply excellent, mate. I love the little SR terminii, and this one is no exception. The platform building and painting techniques I may have to steal for my own project! Cheers, Will
