  1. Railroad & Co 5.5 help I cannot get my railway to connect to the computer I have bought the prolific usb to serial cable but it does not connect properly and without it I cannot setout blocks etc. or speed profiles .for auto running
  2. Thanks for your reply Yes trancontroler is running, but when i go online to setup a speed profile for automatic running I cannot set it up because the train never moves from which ever block i start it in.so you can,t set up a speed profie if you set it to go from block one to block three it would not stop at block three because the computer dose not know its got there my thinking is its got something to do withthe connection to the computer or the change of program last time i used it 7 years ago it would of been running windowsXP
  3. Seven years after moving house I have at last got a start made on my new layout which is "N" gauge and I am finding it very different after modelling in "OO" for most of my life the layout will be run on RailRoad & Co 5.5 which I have always used and at the age of 76 I am too old to change.I thought I new everything about RR & Co after all these years but it would appear not.or over the years I have forgotten something so if some kind soul out there could Please Help Me .It could be that since I last set R&R up Windows has changed so the problem could be with the software I think 7 years ago I would have been using windows XP not Windows 10 ,, The problem is I cannot get the train tracking working To explain this in a more basic way when a train enters block 1 the block lights up pink so the computer knows where the train is but that is not happening and I cannot understand why I have checked the wiring but cannot see anything wrong !!!!! pulling my hair out please Help if you can.
  4. Thank you to all of you I have now got these point motores working well ,Like the Hornby ones they don,t like been screw down and the way to go is testing first before fixing down moving one way or the other as little as one thosance will get them working. Thanks again Eric
  5. Thanks guys for your replys I am using lens digital I know the wiring is right its the wiring I used on my old "OO" layout the point motors are peco PL 11s and I am switching them through the computer using lens digital, I am hesitant to use a CDU to give the point motor a boost, it seems strange to me that some are clicking both ways and the others are just going one way. Thank you for your help, Eric
