Thanks for that Keith. Need to read up on Railcom / + as I really don’t know what’s it does, capable of or restrictions. I thought that was the issue and the answer makes complete sense

Have a question regarding running ESU sound decoders in Pairs. I have @Legomanbiffo 156 and HST projects. Have installed both to the locos and when first placed on the Testtrack the ECoS adds them but will not let me have the same address. (It looked like the HST were both set to 125 when I installed them, but it forced me to change the dummy address). I think this happens due to the Railcom automatically recognising the loco??
Anyone know anyway around this issue - should they bother have the same address or can I run them as a consist. My issue with a consist is I am not sure if they will behave as pair for the sounds?
Any thoughts appreciatedRussell

Ok here’s my summary and questions:
Picked up the red and beige one as it’s my modelled region. The Damage sustained from factory in 🇨🇳 via 🇬🇧 to 🇨🇭 was just one of the handrails behind the doors, which had popped out and fell on the floor as I was opening the box. Luckily I thought it was part of the model, as I hardly noticed the handrail. It took me a couple of views to work out what the missing part was and where it went.
Followed it up with an order for a Dapol and rails connect next 18 decoder as they were the only ones in stock and it’s the first time I ever had to use one. I put the rails in first, ran fine on the rolling road, but only function 1 worked. I tried the Dapol decoder and got both cars working as expected (need to look back at that post as I seem to remember someone saying how the interior lights dimmed).Knowing it all work I tried the rails decoder again but I am thinking it needs a 6 function decoder to work all 4 light options.
Is this correct or any way I could get lighting on dependent on direction and then cabs and interior on 1&2 with the rails decoder 🤔
lastly, is it correct that the non drivers end cab light is on depending on direction travelling??? I am assuming that thats
if the guard was in there, but no idea for sure?

Thanks @charliepetty
Is it best to order one without a decoder to be sure of getting one?
Don't want to miss out

@charliepettyAre the WYPTE sold out or not yet available? Just came across them on the website and worried I have missed out.....

As prices are due to increase in January on ESU decoders we would be foolish to guess this.

Looking at the website, am I right in thinking only without Decoder is possible at the moment. Will it be possible to get a decoder / decoders fitted before dispatch?? Thanks Russell

is that so I have to do 3 rakes 🤣
thanks

Did HAA‘s, HBA‘s and HDA‘s run in the same rakes?
am looking to do a rake from my memories of Worksop early 90‘s where most were red, a few were yellow and some had canopies, but how they were in rakes or coded, I have no idea.
any ideas? Thanks

@Trains4U just fired mine up today and after nearly 10 years in a box, it runs a treat. However do you have a copy of the sounds and function keys still? Can’t find the paperwork
Russell
Sorry does anyone have a copy of the functions for this unit please??
Thank you

Hi all
Thanks for looking; all sortedI am modelling 58 019 but am using a later numbered loco as donor.
i am therefore on the lookout for a complete set of bogie sides to suit (these are the ones without sandboxes)
i believe Heljan did supply certain locos with both sets?
thanks for looking and DM me if you can help

Managed to get the track sprayed with rust and then sleeper grime. Used a new airbrush (Iwata high performance plus from eBay) . Made spraying sleeper grime possible without masking. Have now experimented with woodland scenics stone ballast secured with Klear which seems to give the look I desire on one of the platforms. Now everything is tested and sill working so time to ballast the lot. Just in dilemma whether I do the signaling first?

Something else I have been working on.....this is a pre production Heljan 0 gauge class 47. Repainted and finished as GD tat 568. It was in a very rundown condition, I still have a bit more weathering detail to complete, but thought you would like to see it so far. I think it looks pretty good :-) i believe these are due to hit the shops late this year.
As always if you want one or 6, get in touch!
What colours do you use on this Rail Blue look if I may ask??

We have been selling them from here for 4 years, and the V5s with the revised project for two years without any issues, try a two digit address and see what happens, sounds like something at your end I think.

Worked on the power cab fine on test. Seems to be the railcom issue. Need to work out how to turn railcom off as the ESU unit doesn’t allow that change in the quick menu -
Hi Guys, Do you have any advice on this thread???
Just have an issue with the address on a 156...thanks

Have a question if anyone can help.
Fitted @legomanbiffo sound chips to both cars supplied by @charliepetty
Programmed them to a 4 digit address on my old powercab (both with same address).
bow when I put them on the layout with my ESU system the railcom says it cannot have 2 decoders with same address?? Any ideas what May be the best way round this??
thanks

Strictly speaking Hornby have never made a TRSB. They have made an RFM and given it a TRSB number (in blue and grey) but the kitchen windows are different and they put Restaurant Buffet 125 instead of Buffet Bar 125 on the side. The corridor side windows are correct but I can't see any photos of the Hornby roof so that may be a work of fiction.
so the Hurst option or bashing are still the only options...thanks for the info

As there are new liveries announced for 24 including the Total ones, can anyone remember the articles on these and what mags they were in. I remember there was some info on rakes and also what routes the different firms would have used.
i am curious for Immingham, south Yorks, Nottinghamshire in the early 90’s
thanks Russell
