  1. The original batch came from The Daylight Company, others (cheaper copies) came from Craftlight.co.uk, however the version we use with fluorescent tubes are no longer available. There was an LED version available from Hobbycraft but we have not tested its light output and it does not seem to be on the website now. In theory the light output is lower but it could be more directional. I hope this is of help.

  10. Too small to make a significant difference.
  11. I note that the Class 306 etched sides are no longer on the Mousa website. Does this mean that they are no longer produced or is this just a temporary suspension?
  12. I've been trying to find a solution to creating a standard concrete type BR station lamp for some time. I have now managed to create one by dissecting and re-wiring a Woodland Scenics model. The new lamp shade was made from brass wire, the trim of a plastic takeaway carton with Fox transfer lettering applied.

  14. A Class 307 EMU arrives at Romford with an early evening service to Liverpool Street.
  15. The thought of all those handles and individual glazing brings me out in sweats!
  16. A class 307 pulls into Romford with an early evening train bound for Liverpool Street.
  17. The unit has now be fully detailed and weathered and the pantograph fitted to the Driver Trailer. This project has been two years in the making (stop and start) but I am happy with the end result, which is a very unique model. I would like to thank Replica Railways and the many contributors to this topic for their help along the way. I am now considering adding lighting and sound and maybe who knows a class 306?
  18. No problem with downloading the photo. Whilst this will not be an exhibition layout, I will be bringing this section of the layout along to the Risborough & District Model Railway club Open Day; hopefully in October. Gary
  19. How's this for your memory Vivian?
  20. I have now found an old photograph taken at Liverpool Street taken in 1972 which shows 7 smoking and 3 non smoking compartments in a 3-3-4 formation.
  21. Does anyone know the split of smoking and non smoking compartments for the Class 307 trailer car shown in the picture? The model is based in the 1970s.
