  1. Thank you very much Colin, This is ideal. I can start now! David
  2. Hi Looking back through this thread I noticed your image of the instructions for an ABS 1 1/2 ton travelling crane. I don't suppose by any chance that you still have them? I have acquired a model of this minus instructions so am looking for a copy of them and would be extremely grateful if you could help me in some way David
  3. That's very kind of you Duncan. Thanks David
  4. Dave This is good news, however as of 23/2/24 the site, Modelstock, is yet to be set up. I have an ABS 1 1/2 ton GWR travelling crane and match truck, in the original cylindrical tube packaging, which I acquired and I am eager to build. The reason for this post is to ask if anybody has an instruction sheet to this model that they would kindly copy for me. David
  5. I used a slide rule constantly in the early 70's when working in Civil Engineering. It was a 'British Thornton (as was my drawing instrument set). I gave up the engineering to go to Art School and since then I have had much less money, but a lot more fun in life. I still have the instrument in its original case. As Johnster writes it seems a shame to throw away such a precision instrument even though I have not used it since.
