Class 37, by Accurascale
mkrob replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
I believe it means NO BOILER. -
I emailed them in January this year about these. They said they were out of stock at the time & usually use these from the following sets, dependent on the era, made by Preiser. Jennie said if I find a ready supply of them myself, please do share my source! I replied that it may be worth contacting Modelu who do Accurascale crews to see if they could do a deal with them!

Hi Dunmar, Forgive my ignorance, but did you make your coupling bar out of brass rod & glue it into the NEM socket or buffer beam? I've seen this type of coupling on SLW 24's as well, but not seen any information on how to make or fit them! Can you enlighten me please? -
YouChoos have Zimo MX600R 8 pin decoders on wired harness in stock for £25,according to their website with limited stock. They haven't had any in stock for months, due to chip shortages. FYI, these decoders can be used to hard wire locos or used on 21pin sockets with adapter. https://www.youchoos.co.uk/Index-Shop.php?CAT=StdDecos

Recommendations for suitable Next 18 Decoders for N Gauge locomotives
mkrob replied to Marke's topic in DCC Help & Questions
Got a Bachmann 36-567A Next 18 decoder (Zimo MX618N) from Derails. It's a bit expensive ,but there's a chip shortage & I'm sure when things get back to something like normal, decoders will be about this price unfortunately. https://derails.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2476 -

Is this the video you referred to? -
Cypherman is correct in what he says, but looking at your photo, the valve gear mechanism does not look straight in bottom section of the photo, locking up the drive. But it may be an optical illusion!

Unless I'm mistaken, you can remove the dcc decoder & just link pins 1 & 8 together then pins 4 & 5 together which does what a blanking plug does. As you can see on the diagram, it connects the motor to each rail. You can Heath Robinson that with a paper clip or a piece of wire.

I think when they opened the box of incontinence pants for my mother in law, they will have been exceptionally disappointed. That was really taking the p***! -

Got my crews this morning. The courier pointed out the jiffy bag had been opened. The crews were okay but, safe in their boxes. Unfortunately its not the first time its happened, with various carriers & it won't be the last. No fault of Accurascale or Modula. Congratulations again to Accurascale for exceptional service & Modula for the icing on the cake. Keep up the good work. -
If you prefer paper copy of the instructions to put in a folder here is a PDF of them. Airfix_Class_31.pdf

Accurascale Class 55 Deltic - 4mm scale

Apparently, the steam boiler needed plenty of TLC, from what I have read! I remember traveling from Durham to Darlington once in the coach right behind a Deltic, with my head out of the window all the way. Great stuff. Talking about the DP2, can you you tell me if the DP2 sounded like a 40 or 50, as I have a Heljan DP2 which I will eventually fit sound to? From what I've read , it sounded more like a 40,even though it was a slightly different engine. Anyway ,back to topic. It' great that the my Deltic (D9007 PINZA) will soon be here. YIPPEE! A big thank you to Accurascale for keeping us up to date on progress & putting other manufactures to shame. Keep up the good work guys. -

Hi Ken.W, great to hear your stories & info about the Deltics, as someone who use to train spot In the sixties @ Newcastle central most Saturdays. I vividly remember being allowed to go in the engine room of a Deltic. Not something you forget. Thank you for your input & wonderful memories. -
