  1. Hi Fran Many thanks for the reply. Will look forward to the announcement so I can order some :-) All the best Darryl
  2. Good afternoon all. A couple of quick questions: 1) does anyone know if any one sells the NEM buckeye couplings used on the PTA (and Dapol yeoman JHAs) 2) will accurascale do CAIB Yeoman PTAs? Many thanks Darryl
  3. Hi Adam, thanks for the replies. Also notice that 'LIFT B.O.' is missing from next to the balanced maintenance sticker on the Hanson production samples. Also, I don't suppose there is any chance of you doing the National Power JHAs to go with the 59? (Pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty please 😊). Many thanks Darryl
  4. Aye when new and stationary, and not being used, just like disc brakes on a car. First brake application and the rust will be cleaned off.
  5. Hope they don't leave the discs brown, as they should be silver/ clean
  6. They are exactly what I'm after mate
  7. Does anyone have any damaged / surplus air dams they do not require? I'm after some for the tie down eyelets to modify the Dapol (and Lima/ Hornby) class 59s. Many thanks Darryl
  8. I've just been looking at pictures of 59101 and it seems it had them in its ARC days but it looks like it had them removed in its later years as images if it in Hanson livery have them removed. Maybe accident damage at one end and they were removed?
  9. Hi all, does anyone know where I can buy the cab end tie down eyes from? So I can add them onto one end of 59101 and both ends 59206? Does anyone know why 59101 only has them at one end? Cheers Darryl
  10. One thing with the bachmamm NP HKA wagons is that they never operated with NP 59s. The wagons were JMAs with different bogies. Hoping with the ARC JHA announcement that they may release the NP JHA variant in time
  11. George at S Kits sells them. The accurascale ones would fit onto the HIAs by cutting off the existing buffer shank on the HIA, drilling a small hole into the buffer beam and then gluing them in place. Unfortunately accurascale don't sell them as spares
  12. Does anyone know where you can buy the correct size buffers for the HIAs? The ones on the models are 5mm wide x 3.4mm high, but on the wagons they are 550mm x 270mm, which would equate at 1: 76.1 as 7.25mm x 3.55mm. regards Darryl
  13. I'm unsure why Dapil are releasing nearly all the liveries in N gauge but only five in OO. Regards Darryl
  14. HIA 14m over buffers according to Freightliner website IIA 15.193m over buffers according to Greenbrier website so at 1:76 scale difference of 15.7mm
  15. I'm not 100% confident unfortunately in the liveries, as Dapol have made fundamental mistakes, such as the white ends of the HIA wagons (should be silver/aluminium) and the blue on the TPE 68s regards darryl
  16. If it helps people, I have created a spreadsheet of the converted HYA's (including ex coal HYAs to aggregate HYAs and coal IIAs to aggregate HYAs). The spreadsheet has: - 'Std' tab for 37xxx coded wagons, with a breakown of their liveries: Tarmac, Tarmac (white background logos), Cemex, Cemex GBRf, NACCO and unknown - RIV for RIV coded wagons, with a breakdown of their liveries: Blank, Cemex Touax and VTG 'patched'. regards Darryl HYA.xlsx
  17. that's right. I was after ones with the sliding door with the handbrake handels on the bodyside, as those seem to be the ones that have been converted. Only done four so far. When I'm able to get the transfers I will do another four, and possibly make a rake of 13-14
  18. yes I think you are right mate. was it four of them and did some have scratches / paint or the logo missing IIRC?
  19. Didn't see you edited your post so I didn't get a notification asking for the link. Is it under the 'Blogs' section on my profile. regards Darryl
  20. On the Rylstone and Arcow flows, basically anything goes. The Tarmac HYAs, the NACCO HYAs, the blank HYAs, the VTG HHAs
  21. I know it is, like I said I have done a blog about it cutting one down into the VTG HHA
  22. these are HYAs with RIV(?) numbering. I don't think it would take much to remove the NACCO transfer etc and hopefully Steve at Railtec will make some renumbering packs
  23. quick easy to be honest, I've done a blog about it on RM web
