  1. Hi Everyone To set the record straight, I organised the Demos, Preservation and Society's and after Colin's tragic accident the Trade stands at the Warley NEC show this year, and on Sunday afternoon when collecting the expense forms from the demo area, I DID NOT say THEY WOULD NOT PAY the full mileage of £0.45, but MAY NOT PAY that amount. Sorry I have not replied earlier, but I started at the NEC on Thursday afternoon at 12:45pm finishing that evening at about 7:15pm, only because I had a prior engagement, then starting Friday at 06:45am to about 9:00pm, then Saturday at again 6:45am until 7:pm, then again Sunday 6:45am finally getting home abut 10:55pm after going back to the club to help unload the lorry transporting layouts barriers and general stuff back. All this while clocking up about 160 miles, yes, I have claimed expenses at £0.25 per mile but donated back to the Warley club, so no monetary gain for me. I would have posted earlier but I was only told about these posts while at our club today unpacking our Ellerton Road layout which had been at the show over the weekend, stand C37, on which I never got much time operating due to my other duties at the show. These arguments make me wonder why people do demonstrations, I understand that they do not want to be out of pocket, I have done demo's over the years, often not claiming anything as I enjoy them, you meet people, talk to people and share you experience and knowledge, often helping fellow modellers, this makes it worthwhile, which is reward enough. best regard Paul Part of Warley Exhibition Team
  2. Well done Mike with the new members, I hope the Wigan show went well for you, might see you at the S7 northern open day on the 22nd. Best regards Paul S7 Stores
