  1. Hi Ray Weighbridges actually came in 3 types. Rail for weighing the wagons. Landsale for weighing lorries etc. Combination for weighing both. The common size for landsale when working on them from the 1960's was 20'x8' and the plates at the time had a diamond shape on them.you could tell an older machine as the middle was cast with a deeper shape to give horses something to grip on.You didn't give any time period, earlier they were known as cart machines and as time went on size increased. 3. I am seeking running numbers for diagram 02. I have several of the K's which require numbering and having searched several sites have been unable to find any bar 960 which is the K's kit. There are lots of photos of 04/5 which is a 6 door van and one for a 01 4 door van which does not look to different from 02. Any help would be welcome.
  4. Both Avery and Pooley ( I am an ex Avery employee, the local Pooley depot was closed and split between other Avery branches ) did weighbridges in the said colours. Pooley were not the same shade as the link item. Most were what is called a right hand steelyard, as per the link, not many left ones were produced.
  5. A bit of useful information relative to this. I have a dvd "The Heyday of British Steam". In part 4 around the Gloucester area is showing 1453 in lion on wheel livery and it still has the tool box mid splasher and no top feed, it does have the large whistle shield. There is no view of the firemans side re cab side foot steps which are the upgraded items most dealt with. Regards bizerba
